I didn' t know much about the character when I saw him trending, and I found the right pose for him to shine, especially with such name! As I realized lately, the simple +1 color makes wonders with the Sketchy vibe.

This will always be the kind of panel that excites me to create, but at the same time that scares the shit out of me. So much could be wrong along the way, when you're attached to realistic body & proportions, details, like me. When I succeed, and it's not always the case, I'm so glad & the trouble & time taken were worth it hehe!

Apart from the usual perspective / length of the body troubles you can observe with such laydown posing, it went pretty smooth & fast.

But Pirata wanted him even smaller, so he is. See the very first draft. ;-)

I wasn't supposed to draw Superman again for this Hump Day, but here we are! This Sketchy concepts have become a laboratory for me to explore the digital ways & renderings.
You see the original sketch, then the soft shadows cast from it, then I used simple colors with more complexe mix of the layers in Procreate. And then again in Photosho^p for the actual image you got!

A quick sketching, although touchy with the perspective & leg in the air. I tried again the simple coloring with focus on lights + highlights only.
I reworked the color contrast in Photoshop, that's why here the original lighter colors for the sofa & ground show.

Totally inspired by stylized bara art, the sketch went really quick, while I was planning quick shadows, greyscales. Finally I went for colors, which made me try out a trick: only using highlights to give lights & volume to the scene, and i kinda works! So odd to not casting shadows, or playing as usual with very thick line to define the perspective.
It was fun to draw & a good test!
