Made pretty solid progress on this short little project, catching up on some 2D work while I've Breakout rendering. Got the blocking done yesterday, and had a blast doing the rough sketch pass.

Render is progressing steadily, managed to get some optimization in and cut down the render time almost by half, dropping from 15 minutes down to 7-8, which has been making a great difference! I am hoping to have the opening sequence completed with rendering going into November. Jack is realizing that his curious wandering of a dinosaur paddock would probably put you at risk of encountering the resident dino! That alien bioluminecense didnt do him any favors in hiding, but it sure will come in handy with illuminating his new "enclosure".
Quick little animated piece I put together, featuring the amazing Haloluna! Made this to test out some methods I can use in making colored 2D animation. Granted, its fairly simple, but I am quite happy that it turned out this great, all within a day no less! More complicated work will take more time, but this does prove quite promising for future work I could do!

The short V-day animation with Xal has completed its rendering quite well ahead of time! Visuals are all composited and ready to go, with the final audio pass well underway!
Not looking to spoil too much of the final version at this point, so no more preview is gonna be available until the release date later on this week.

Certainly hoping this post finds you all well! Gonna be taking the opportunity to say that breakout is coming along nicely! Finished up the current workload I had for cakeinferno, so I am now freed up to focus my efforts on my own content. Should anticipate some early animation wips for the higher tiers fairly soon!

Putting a new workflow into full swing for my 2D animation work! Previously my workflow revolved around using individual layers as frames within clipstudio, which worked fine for the mostpart, but it meant that color had to be animated separately, which lead to a lot of messy visuals that I struggled to keep consistent. Its this reason why I avoided it in previous 2D animation work, outside of super short loops.

The groundwork being laid down for Breakout has proven invaluable with getting the background set up here for render! I've been using Mayas MASH tool, combined with the 3D paint feature to make guide maps, to make complex forest backgrounds an absolute BREEZE. Saves me a ton of hours I would've otherwise spent manually dropping instances of plants everywhere ^^;
