Birbo Update: Day 2

May take a bit to load.

This isn't day 2 of making the model, but this is my second day of giving random updates on the progress, so let's go with it! I decided against streaming the process on this one because I'm doing too much that's new and experimental for me and I need to be able to focus, the distraction of streaming might make it too hard to get to where I want with this feller.

Thanks for answering my question yesterday! In exchange for having to deal with icky business talk, I offer an early look at a thing I'm fiddling around with. Very early WIP, stumpy tail and weird horn things are bits that proper feathers will come out from at a later date. He's a newborn, be patient, his feathers will grow out in time. :P

Screwing around with a bit more angularity and sharp lines to see how it feels. Looks pretty nice at this stage ...

Animation DVD?

Right, so, the folks who occasionally do merch-related stuff with me ran the idea by me of making a DVD with my animations on it, apparently a proper thing with like a menu screen and such. My reaction to this ideas was "What? People don't use DVD's anymore, what are you talking about", but they insist it's a thing people go for.

Now, I'll be honest, I don't really want merch-hocking to become a big part of what I do. It's already happening a bit more than I like lately and I'd honest...

I'm in the middle of working on a decent sized project, but had to take a few days off while waiting for replies for stuff to come through, and found myself fiddling with an old model. I always liked the general vibe of this model, even if nobody else seemed to care about her (well, except one person, you know who you are!), and I recently finished making some tweaks to my fur system and needed to test it anyway, so it was the perfect excuse to bring her up to date. Wolf Wife

Right in the middle of the making of the Fluffer animation (which is up on e621 if you haven't seen it yet...), we had a hurricane blow through and knock out the power for a few days. This meant I couldn't work on the animation for a bit 'cause my little tablet isn't really up to the task, but it's just about strong enough for a bit of simple mesh modelling, so I kept myself entertained during the power outage by starting up a new model.

Stuff's gon be a little late this month. Working on a big animation and fairly close to the end so I decided to just finish that first before starting on this stuff so I don't have that on my mind while working on these.
