Totally Wild #13
Currently trying (and failing) to give myself and my rig a break over the weekends
Work continues on the Totally Wild sequence. Making quite good progress (I hope) on the sequence, although a few of the pieces contain more than one panel which means slightly more renders to queue and well, render. Even so, I'm aiming to upload quite the batch by the end of the month.
Setting myself the target of 10 images, although I'd rather put quality first than rush thi...
2020-08-22 14:35:30 +0000 UTC View PostThank you guys, for another month of support. It's safe to say I'm pretty quiet most of the time and am probably more at home making images than communicating. That said, I'd like to give you guys updates on what I've been working on at the end of a given week.
Work continues on the 'Totally Wild' sequence. Since Monday, I've been able to finish and render the 2 images that will make up the next 2part panel (#10). After rendering these 2 the first time, I realis...
Last months bit https://www.patreon.com/posts/36576942 should really be next in the sequence, but, I made it a month ago before I knew I was gonna expand either side of that particular moment.

An updated Rachel, from the Cat Scratch Fever sequence. Originally meant to be quite a bit more human but she kinda progressed as I went along.
I'd really love to have been able to add more in-frame (a tail, for example, perhaps a little ambient clutter, but for some reason, this composition wanted all the VRAM and then some.
I was only able to get the scene to fit onto my card by decimating the resolution of the males body textures, which I think I managed to cover, just ab...

...On the wall, who's the fairest of them all.
Sorry it's not more of a full-blown sequence, but I know a few of you guys wanted to see more of Mia gone all catty.
2020-05-31 22:24:33 +0000 UTC View PostAs some of you may be already aware, new tax requirements are coming into effect on Patreon as of 1st July. These settings aren't going to apply to all creators/pledges, and I'm not yet totally clear on how I and yourself will be impacted personally.
Patreon were good enough to provide us creators with a copy-paste announcement for you guys which I'm gonna go ahead and post unedited for clarity.

As always, I wish I had more content to share with you guys, but these renders can end up being very time consuming, especially when they get more complex and everything grinds to a halt whenever you move a dial. As always, your support is appreciated. Without it, I would simply not be able to put the time and money into these pieces.

These images were the straw(s?) that broke the camels back, or at least it maxed out my video memory and caused crashes everytime.
I found I could render one character with body hair just fine, but 2 at once was a big nope.
I even tried blending the two images together but it just ended up looking odd because they overlap so much.
More recently I've purchased an optimisation plug-in which should, in theory, help. I'd attempt the render now, but Mia's taking up the plac...

Spent a good long while searching for a business pantsuit that wasn't totally skimpy. Ended up using it pantless right away. Typical.
Using a new (to me at least, I'm catching up with modern times) technique for rendering fur.
Wasn't sure if I could fit 2 characters and the fur into memory, but I just about managed. Unfortunately using the same method for Clover resulted in some patchy oddness. I think I know why, now just gotta figure out how to prevent it.

Experimenting with both higher res models, textures and also render size here. This one took over 24hrs to render alone and yet is relatively simple in terms of geometry. I could probably halve that if I didn't include such dense atmospherics, but well, I love me some dense atmospherics dammit.
