It's the last map of November, and the last (formal paid) map of the year (assuming I don't go stir-crazy and draw more during December anyways)! This one was inspired by a waterfall in Arizona, Havasu Falls, which I happen to have a travel magazine featuring. The real falls actually has a bright cyan hue similar to the one in this map, which is pretty neat. For once, I have an excuse for drawing water as a neon blue substance.

It might have been noticed that there was no submission box or map poll this month, and that's because I've decided to take the month of December off, due to Christmas, the end of this college term, and the fact that it's been a year since I started (yay!), amongst other things. It seems like a good time to take a break. I'll still be drawing this week's map, of course. In the meantime, I'll be open for some commission work or collaboration, and if I draw any...

Good morning (evening)! This week's map is a bar in a slightly run-down neighborhood, which was loosely inspired by an excellent game you might have heard of called VA-11 HALL-A. I'm going to plug it here, because the developers are excellent, and specifically because its soundtrack gave me the inspiration necessary to finish it.
Some ideas to go with this map:
- Cause a bar fight
- Re-enact Terminator 2's opening scene with a robot of your choice

Oh boy, this one is great. This one is so great. I'm sorry to brag, but these fields are really, really satisfying to see turn out so nicely. I'm so happy, because I was afraid they'd be awful, but they turned out great, and noone can ever change my mind.
This week's map is sure to be a favorite for those who want to believe - some unseen force has impressed a series of circles and pathways into a poor farmer's wheat crop. What's worse, they might still be present.
Alternatively, ...

Good evening! Last month's overwhelming map poll winner was Foggy Neon Streets - which is exactly what this is. Stormy skies rage above a concrete overpass; your client is waiting in the black van. Or perhaps, your target is. Or maybe the party's trying to get into the exposed lower access gap. Honestly, there's a lot of options for this one.

Check it out, it's a convenience store. Or, rather, a corner store. This was a request, and I had to double-check that "corner store" wasn't something specific rather than regional slang for a convenience store, and it turns out there's some interesting (if banal) history behind the term. Anyways! Contents include:
- Daytime
- Nighttime
- Eveningtime
- Nighttime but with no lights on

It's Halloween! Alas, certain events have neutered the typical preparations. Color me disappointed. But hey, you don't get trick-or-treaters when you live in the middle of nowhere, so it's not a huge change.
This week's map is - and there's actually two maps again this week, and I'll upload the second after this - a crypt of tremendous size, lined with two channels down which may flow either water or blood, depending on the nature of the coffin resting atop the central altar. The obviou...

Late-night edition because I was distracted all day. Rules!
- Everyone gets to vote for as many ideas as they want.
- Whichever has the highest number of votes by 3:00pm next Sunday will get drawn as the first map for November.
- In the event of a tie, I'll flip a coin. If the tie involves a patron-submitted suggestion, I'll default to the patron suggestion.
- The rest go into my bin of possible future maps, if I run out of ideas.

Mwahaha! It's about time that I did a proper holiday-themed map, and there's none better than Halloween. I'm actually planning on more, but more on that in a bit.
This week's map is a bizarre place - the interior of a carved Jack-O-Lantern! I don't know what kind of terrible curse or fair folk might've done this, but it's your fault for having gone poking around in that pumpkin patch. I actually wish I could say that it was inspired by Neutral Party's 2020-10-22 23:58:02 +0000 UTC

Check it, it's a totally free map. Someone mentioned wanting a cyberpunk alley/street, and though it started as an alley, it morphed into a street pretty quickly anyways. Perfect for gang confrontations, investigative stakeouts, or meetings with shadowy figures - or with Takeshi. I hear his noodles are great.
The archive attached to this post has the raw .kra file, the lineart, and checkerboard/gridless versions of the map - and a quick edit that changes all of the map lighting to orang...

How's your week gone? I was sick, but now I'm better. This week's map is the Monolithic Dock, a last-minute name pick because the building to the north is meant to be gigantic and the file's previous name, "cliffside crane" was both a misnomer after I changed the dropoff to water and a little too much alliteration for me to handle.
Although this was initially inspired by a piece of scenery in my big folder-full-of-interesting-images-to-throw-at-my-players, the end product had very littl...

I'm back with a bit of an update - although I did manage to solve a few of my problems and get some of my work under control, I caught the world's most unpleasant case of the common cold and what seems like a fever during the week. Don't worry, it's not the local pandemic - tests came back negative. In addition to the fever, though, I'm now dealing with some difficult personal issues that unfortunately I don't feel are appropriate to share publicly, so I didn't get the practice I w...

Good morning! This week's map is a small, fortified desert compound, with or without ̶n̶u̶t̶s̶ turrets. Initially evolved from some ideas spawned by the upcoming Dune movie, it ended up turning into something more closely resembling a modern fortification. With a gun. I actually figured the gun would make or break the map for some people, so I made versions of every variant with and without it.

This isn't anything fancy, it's just a quick draft I did while experimenting with simpler art. I don't plan on expanding it, but it may be useful to have on-hand to drop into a game.

I was a bit frustrated this week, so I took my frustration out on a map. This map, specifically. Which is now free patron-exclusive content! I based it off of the attached image (which I did not draw, and whose artist I don't know), which you may find useful for setting the mood of the scene, or something. I kinda wanna use it in a campaign in the future, but in the meantime, maybe it'll be useful to you instead.

The sun shines down, through a gaping crack in the ceiling above, illuminating and reflecting off the dusty, dulled surfaces of this once-brilliant palace/temple complex. Rushing floods of water still surge through the old channels, seemingly untouched by time, diverted from the nearby grand river.
Today's map is an elaborate chamber in an underground ruin, inspired by an old map I had used in a game about a year and a half ago!

Hey, look, it's another free bonus map! Patron-exclusive, very simple, drawn for fun, totally free. Good place to stash your giant enemy crabs, or assorted beach paraphernalia. Or maybe that pond is the secret entrance to an underwater urchin kingdom? I wish I could say I had plans to use this one myself, but in all truth, it was just drawn for fun - I'm testing new ways of drawing cliff and cave walls, see.

Good morning (or, it will be, in a few hours), and this week's map is a little confused! I had originally started drawing the stadium map, and then decided that it wasn't up to my arbitrarily-set personal standards, mostly because I couldn't figure out how to justify a bunch of different arenas and I didn't feel like I had done the concept justice anyways. So instead, I drew the second map here over the last few days - the Sword in the Stone!
(Honestly, it's more like a sword-in-the-ped...
