The Cruise Ship's Stern (30x20)

Good morning! Today's map was a commission, focused on a presumably tropical cruise ship! I had to do a whole bunch of unpleasant research on these floating carnivals, and let me tell you, they really seem like they've become parodies of the idea over time. Go-karts? On a boat? It reads like a punchline from a cartoon.

Anyways, the contents within:

  • The Supporter pack contains the sunny surface of the cruise ship during the day, a nighttime party of some sort...

Good morning! Hope you're in the mood for a tropical cruise, because that's what this map's all about.

Leaves from the Vine (20x20)

Those of you, my patrons, who read the preview I posted yesterday know the inspiration for this map -  an incredibly touching and soul-crushing scene from Avatar: The Last Airbender. The second source of inspiration was a scene from a campaign I ran a while back which may have served as the single finest piece of motivation I ever gave a player. I wanted to make a map primarily suited for an absolutely tragic scene, the sort of place where you'd go for quiet contemplatio...

I finally figured out the secret to perfect lighting: color balance filters! I'm just over the moon with how this one turned out, so I hope you are too!

I'm in love with this map. I'm seriously in love with it, it turned out perfectly. I'm really, really happy.

Map Preview - Leaves from the Vine

There's this beautiful and incredibly emotional scene from Avatar: The Last Airbender. I'm sure those of you who have watched it already know what I mean from the title alone. Those of you who don't, I highly recommend you watch the series, but you could get the picture (literally) by running a search for "In honor of Mako" in your favorite search engine.

This map won't feature any trees, unfortunately, but it's directly inspired by that picture. It's been on my mind for a whil...

Monthly Map Poll!

Good morning! Here's the poll for this month. It's multiple-choice, feel free to toss as many votes in as you want (but if you vote for all of them, your vote will technically be negated...), whichever wins gets to be the first map next week, and the rest might be drawn eventually anyways! Feel free to post any other map ideas you want to see drawn, too.

Edit: One day left on the poll. Cast your votes! I'll default to the cathedral in the event of a tie...

Mos Eisley Cantina (20x22)

More commonly known to the locals as Chalmun's Cantina, this business serves a city aptly described by a local wizard as a wretched hive of scum and villainy. Such language might equally apply to its customer base, being largely composed of smugglers, bounty-hunters, murderers, felons, fugitives fleeing fate, and the occasional rebel.

Good morning! Deserts have become much more fun to draw ever since I switched away from my old style, which made drawing this one in part...

Good morning! Here's the Supporter package for the Mos Eisley Cantina map. Details are in the launch post!

Also, a notice: I recently dropped the price of all of my tiers, but Patreon doesn't let me change the tier's prices due to fraud prevention, so you'll have to manually switch to the new tiers yourself. Sorry for the inconvenience! The good news is that you get to save a dollar on all of my future maps.

Edit: Whoops, I made a mistake. T...

Dutchman rewards for the Mos Eisley Cantina! Raw files are attached, plus a folder containing all of the maps. Enjoy!

This also serves as a notice: I lowered the prices of all my tiers, but you'll have to manually switch to the new tiers yourself. Sorry for the inconvenience!

Next map's sneak peek - and tier price reduction!

First off, I've got the sneak peek for the next map, Mos Eisley Cantina! There's a lot of linework to be drawn still, but I'm getting there. Expect it to be published in the next couple of days.

Second - I'm reducing the price of every tier by $1. Supporter will now be $1, Enthusiast is now $3, and Dutchman is now $7. However, Patreon refuses to let you edit tiers that have patrons currently subscribed, which means that I have to create new tiers, unpublish the old ones...

Monthly Map Poll Rework

Good morning! I think I figured out a setup that will work better for the monthly poll. Instead of the last one, where I had put down broad genres and votes were cast on that, this one will be handled like so:

  • Enthusiast patrons and above can submit ideas for the first couple of days (the Suggestions Box)
  • All ideas will be added along with a couple of my own to the monthly poll (which I'll post on Wednesday)
  • All patrons get a vote in the poll, which will be multi...

The Innocent Home (20x16)

Good morning, this week's map is The Innocent Home.

I've set this map up so that it's really easy to cut it into the parts you need. There's the main house, a secret entrance to the basement in the bedroom, and not one but two secret rooms within the basement. Depending on your needs, you can crop out any of the rooms simply by not letting players discover the secrets! This means that the home can be as innocent or satanic as desired, preserving the validity of the titl...

Let's try this again. I only realized half-way through posting that I had made two significant errors in the maps, so I fixed both of them and deleted the old posts.

Anyways, main text is moved to the main post. A nice benefit of compressing the raw files into the Dutchman post is that it's one less post for me to make, and less clutter in my archives.

The Fall of Cyrog (Commission)

About a week and a half ago, I was commissioned by a game-master looking to create and publish an adventure featuring a violent crusade through the heart of an Illithid colony, controlled by an Elder Brain named Cyrog. I created five battlemaps and a large reference map of the entire colony, and now they're available for purchase on the DM's Guild!

There's five maps, ...

Tier Shakeup!

Good morning! While I was planning out the next map, I figured I should announce that I'm considering some minor changes to my tiers and their bonuses. This was initially spurred by a realization that Dutchman tokens will inevitably run out of interesting things to make tokens of, and then I came up with and threw in some other tweaks.

  • The Dutchman tier's extra token bonus could be changed to include new item icons as well, and in addition, becaus...

The Pirate's Pillar Hideaway

Good morning! I hope you're ready for an adventure by the sea, because whether it features pirates, a merchant's camp, or the PC's camp under siege by harpies, this map should help out a bunch.

The map is 20x20 and comes with two extra variants, a nighttime edit and the camp during a storm. Remember when I'd just do alternate color palettes as variants?...

The Pirate's Pillar Hideout (Enthusiast)

Good morning! I hope you're ready for an adventure by the sea, because whether it features pirates, a merchant's camp, or a nightmarish monolith on an isolated island, this map should help out a bunch.

Enthusiast tier includes two extra bonus maps. The first is the island cleared of all natural structures. My mind kept snapping to Maplestory 2, and the world boss arenas there - they'd be pretty similar to this (please don't actually play Maplestory 2). The second one is not just a strai...

The Pirate's Pillar Hideout (Dutchman)

Despite the pirate-y name, I bet this map could be used for a lot of things. A desperate last stand by the PCs and a camp of merchants were the two that sprung to my mind. There's supposed to be a cove under the island too, but I didn't get to complete that due to the commission. I might have to draw that later, just for fun.

The Dutchman version comes with the standard stuff - a bunch of the assets cropped and modified to be usable in other maps. I'm running into a problem here...

Next Map's Sneak Peek + Commission!

I'm almost finished with this week's map already, but it's not quite done yet, and I'm not going to release it until later - because I've been commissioned!

I'm not releasing the important details quite yet, but I've been asked to draw several maps for a project someone's got going, so I'll post about that later, probably once I've finished with it and it goes live. It's a very interesting dungeon adventure about a den ofcreatures I very much d...

The Desert Sorcerer (15x15) (Free)

It's a free map! Hooray!

A criminal mage sequesters himself away in a small building, hidden within a desert city. In it, he performs strange and alien rituals, calling out to the gods of the deepest waters, hoping to gain a sliver of their awful power.

I wonder if people would like it if I wrote silly blurbs like that for all of my maps. I'd do it, but I feel like it might be embarassing.

This map is 15x15, with a resolution of 50ppi. You can subscribe for ...
