MMO Series Update | MMOシリーズの進歩:

I know I’ve mentioned this before, but I still want to apologise again for not being able to work on the MMO series for the past several weeks. However, now that I’m done with the latest video and can finally take that break I’ve been meaning to take, I can finally reflect and think about how I can rectify my mismanagement so that the MMO series can be produced consistently.

以前にも申し上げましたが、この数週間、MMOシリーズに取り組むことができなかったことを、改めてお詫び申し上げます。しかし、最新のビデオが完成し、ようやく一息つけるようになった今、ようやく反省し、MMOシリーズをコンスタントに制作できるように、自分の不始末を正すことを考えることができるようになりました。

I’ve recorded a timelapse of these animations and illustrations being produced as well, but since I’m going to take the week off, I’ll put it in the following week’s Weekly Update! I hope you don’t mind!

I started producing this video in early November, and it has been around 7 weeks since then. Truth be told, if I hadn’t practised the bad habits I did or bring myself so close to burning out, I probably could’ve finished this in 4 weeks, haha!

It’s not all bad though, as I felt the past couple of weeks of me desperately trying to finish this video have revealed to me some of the issues with my work ethics that I had been trying to find. It’s been hectic and I probably got this flu because of it, but it’s been a fruitful experience.

11月上旬から制作を開始し、7週間ほど経ちました。実を言うと、もし私が悪い習慣を実践したり、燃え尽きる寸前まで自分を追い込んだりしなければ、おそらく4週間でこれを完成させることができたでしょう、ハハ!

しかし、悪いことばかりではありません。この2週間、必死でこのビデオを完成させようとしたことで、私が見つけようとしていた仕事に対する倫理観の問題点が明らかになったように思います。慌ただしかったし、そのせいで風邪をひいてしまったかもしれませんが、実りの多い経験でした。

Warm Ups + Studies | ウォームアップとスタディ:

Unfortunately in my attempt to finish the latest YouTube video in the past week, I have set aside doing practices. Don’t worry though, as I have not given up on practising because I intend to keep practicing during the break.

残念ながら、この1週間でYouTubeの最新動画を完成させようとしたため、練習はお預けになってしまいました。しかし、練習を諦めたわけではなく、休憩中も練習を続けるつもりなので、心配しないでください。

Thank you so much, everyone, for your patience and understanding regarding the recent issues I’ve been dealing with in the past several weeks. The positive feedback received has been reassuring, and I am grateful for it.

To reiterate, I am not upset nor angry, just lost and confused as to how I’ve gotten so slow and inconsistent with making progress. Though, I am down with a flu because of overworking, haha.

Allow me to clarify; what has driven me to this point is not the amount of work, nor the intensity of it. It’s how inefficiently I have been working that has gotten me so riled up about myself. Basically, I can do better and I roughly know how to, but wanting to do so feels like an impossible task. The question is “why”?

Thus, I feel I should take a break to reflect and hopefully address this with myself. Perhaps there are some things I can’t see right now because my eyes are always on work.

I’ll be taking the week off, and I intend to completely cut myself off from any form of work (MMO series and animations) so that I can commit to the break and focus on giving myself proper rest. That is to say, this weekend’s Weekly Update will not contain any form of progress. However, I do intend to journal my findings and reflections instead.

This way I get to keep you updated, while being able to verbalise my thoughts.

この数週間、私が抱えていた問題に関して、皆様には辛抱と理解をいただき、本当にありがとうございました。ポジティブなフィードバックは心強く、とても感謝しています。

繰り返しになりますが、私は動揺も怒りもしていません。ただ、どうしてこんなに遅くなってしまったのか、進歩が一貫していないのか、迷っているのです。とはいえ、働きすぎでインフルエンザにかかってるんですけどね、ハハハ。

はっきり言って、ここまで追い詰められたのは、仕事の量や量ではなく、いかに自分が非効率的な仕事をしてきたか、そのことに怒りが湧いてきたのだ。基本的には、もっとうまくできるはずだし、やり方もだいたいわかっているのだが、そうしたいと思うことが不可能に思えてしまうのだ。なぜなのか？

ということで、一息ついて、自分自身と向き合ってみようと思います。いつも仕事ばかり見ていて、見えていないことがあるのかもしれません。

今週は、仕事（MMOシリーズやアニメ）を一切断ち切って、自分を休ませることに専念しようと思っています。つまり、今週末の今週更新は、何の進展もないままになります。しかし、その代わり、私の発見と考察を日記にするつもりです。

そうすることで、皆さんに最新情報をお伝えしながら、自分の考えを言葉にすることができるのです。
