The Heavenly Martial Empress Returns Chapter 266: Unexpected Visitors

-----

I noticed Mursha looking at the girls with their lost Martian technology cube.

“I truly don’t get the appeal of such technological things… Isn’t it better to just explore a vast landscape, walk over the grass barefooted, and hunt down mighty beasts rather than look at the insides of a boring trinket?” She wondered, acting slightly arrogantly, if that was her warrior’s pride talking.

“Ah, well that’s fun too, Mom, but a phone is pretty neat!” Kalana said, as she was taking pictures with her phone. “Where’s yours?”

“Phone? Oh, the little thing that you gave me, dear? Uh, I think I left it back home,” Mursha said. “It stopped working when I tapped it too hard, though. Can’t they make tougher ones?”

“I-I enhanced it with a ward beforehand,” I said. “I guess that didn’t work that well, huh?”

“I’m sorry… I’m just not good with those things; I don’t find… the point,” Mursha scratched her red-haired head.

“Haha… oh well, it’s alright,” I shrugged.

My kids already had their phones, and I had made sure to give some to my wives as well, especially those that came from another worlds.

They’re good communication, entertainment, and news tools that’ll help them communicate from long distances and learn news about the world rather quickly.

Any question they have at the moment can be easily answered as well.

I just modified the ones for the kids so they can’t register on social media or talk with strangers for now.

“We’re here, past this gate…”

Bloodclaw looked slightly nervous, the ruins, which had been mostly a series of mazes and underground labyrinths with small rooms made of mostly red stone carved with circuits and words, finally seemed to reach an end, with a large gate in front of us.

“This is the place?” I wondered. “It doesn’t seem that strong.”

“Well, it’s supposed to be strong… It is controlled solely on Psychic Energy!” Bloodclaw said. “This is one of the reasons why we’ve been able to control Martian Technology. We’ve been able to improve our own thanks to the many things we found here… well, in our own timeline, of course.”

“Interesting, so Martian Technology is not powered by electricity but by psychic power?” I wondered.

“Yes, it is actually a much more reliable, boundless source of energy,” nodded Bloodclaw. “With just my power alone, we were able to easily power hundreds of flying vessels, for example.”

“Oh, so your job was being a walking battery then?” Peperina wondered, giggling a bit. “A-Ah, sorry, I didn’t mean to…” She felt slightly guilty at the end.

“No, it’s fine… I was indeed just a battery to the old god,” sighed Bloodclaw. “Well now, let me open it for you, goddess. Breaking it open wouldn’t be too nice and might end up scaring people.”

“I’m in your care then, Bloodclaw,” I nodded.

She touched the gate as the glowing circuits within it began changing colors from blue to white, then red.

CLANK! CLANK! CLANK!

Then several inner gears and other parts within the gate resonated, opening up completely to reveal a vast interior we’ve never seen within these ruins.

“Now please, try to be silent while we go inside. I will try to go on my own first,” Bloodclaw said. “I need to first talk with them about what happened…”

“Hm, fine,” I nodded.

We walked around, hiding behind large pillars, while looking down into the larger, open area in the middle of this temple-like area.

And indeed, there they were, the sounds of creatures speaking, walking, eating, laughing, and of technology being repaired, remade, and brought here could be heard everywhere.

“Wow, they’re all reptiles!” Athena said with fascination. “And dinosaurs no less, ancient beings…!”

“They’re sure noisy… and colorful! I thought they were all mostly green? But there are blue ones and red and yellow ones too… and black and gray ones!” Orion said in surprise.

“Saurians… The ancient enemies of humans…” Fiery Hair furrowed her eyebrow. “First time meeting so many… Believed to be extinct! But they live…”

“C-Calm down, Mom, we aren’t here to beat them up or something.” Rainbow Eyes patted his mother’s muscular arms, calming her down.

“I know… However, always careful,” Fiery Hair nodded.

“Then I shall be on my way…” Bloodclaw began walking downstairs; her distinctive white scales quickly brought the attention of many.

“Is that Lady Bloodclaw?!”

“Is she back?”

“Where is the Saurian God’s vessel!”

“The other soldiers? What happened?”

“Only Priestess Bloodclaw alone?”

As they wondered what was happening, Bloodclaw walked towards the other member of her family she found, who was surrounded by other Saurians.

“I’m here, everyone, sorry for being so late… A lot happened; we’ll address it soon.”

As she calmed the masses, she reached the other member of her family.

“Excuse me? Are you one of the High Saurian family members?”

As the Saurians moved away to reveal who was in there, suddenly, a snake-like Saurian appeared.

Their scales were also white, and they had sharp, crimson eyes… However, they were slightly smaller than Bloodclaw, wearing beautiful golden robes with feathers around their small body.

“Hmm?! Bloodclaw? I believed you were dead! What are you doing here? Wait a moment, are you alone?”

“Ah, it’s you, Redeye… A lot happened, and… Well, it’s a bit complicated to explain things right now; I would like to—Huh?”

However, suddenly, a second person emerged behind Redeye, around the same size as a normal human, and indeed, they looked quite human to me.

With dark brown skin, long black hair tied with many golden accessories resembling pyramids and eyes, and wearing white, gold, and red clothes, they had a manly, muscular frame, with sharp golden eyes.

Behind him there were also two people similar to him, but smaller, wearing mechanical armor of mostly golden color…

Wait a second, aren’t they…?

“Y-You’re…? A human?!” Bloodclaw gasped in disbelief as I noticed Merneith was surprised about this man’s appearance. “What’s the meaning of this, Redeye?”

“Don’t confuse this highly evolved human with the lowly monkeys,” said Redeye. “He is an Egyptian, a member of a species of humans with highly advanced technology from an alternate timeline. Unlike us, they have even managed to conquer many planets throughout the galaxy. They are precious allies… So please, don’t you dare speak ill of them.”

“E-Eh? Ah… I… understand…” Bloodclaw was very confused; I could tell.

And so we were…

Does this mean that the Saurians and the Egyptians from the Alternate Timelines are now actively interacting and even collaborating?!

This doesn’t sound very good.
