After watching this one, I have to say that people in horror movies make some DUMB decisions hahaha. I mean, I would probably make some dumb decisions in a panic, but... REALLY?? Enjoy!

Although, just for curiosity sake if you want to just want see where Michael Myers picks back up, watch Halloween II. One of the few sequels I recommend and the one I believe you'll only want to watch

2023-10-01 06:02:07 +0000 UTCAlien set a genre defining standard as far as suspense. The alien itself is only on screen a total of a couple min of the entire first movie too. It was just directed so well. It too is my favorite sci fi horror movie. However, I wouldnt classify Halloween as boring by any stretch but its very predictable. Most "slasher" type horror movies are.

And I don't really buy the claim that it was just a product of its time, because the very next year my all-time favorite horror movie released: Alien.

That way you won't possibly age 10 years over the next month. 😵💫 Think zen mode. 🧘♀ P.S. Would you be interested in 'dressing up' for reactions later in the month? It doesn't have to be full costume (as I've seen a couple reactors do), just something semi-Halloween-ish and unintrusive. Just a fun idea; no big deal if you don't.

2023-09-29 06:51:01 +0000 UTCVery brave reaction, Addie! John Carpenter wanted it to end here. He wanted people to leave the theater afraid, knowing Michael was still out there. But because of the success of the movie (being the most profitable independent film off all time, at the time) he was pushed into writing a ($$$) sequel, but did not direct it. "Halloween II" (1982 - which was pretty good, starring Jamie Lee Curtis) was penned by Carpenter and that was supposed to be the END-end, as far as Carpenter was concerned. But the studio kept putting out cheesy sequel after sequel for cash grabs. And now there are reboot movies and so on. But I don't expect you would do Halloween II, next year perhaps? Nah-- I guess you've been through enough. Bravo.

You would tense up and use your hands to cover up. Effective. All of the other Halloween movies, Laurie (JLC) is stalked by Michael. Does he kill her? Does she kill him? Since you likely won't watch what happens I'll let you google it and find out. Halloween is now marked off the list. Great job! Take care of yourself, Addie!! You totally could have used Ollie by your side for this!

This story about Michael Myers and Laurie Strode is one of my favorite horror movies ever made and my girlfriend & I like this one. Now you're ready for Scream (1996). Fingers crossed that when you do your opening to the YT cut of that movie, you do an actual scream before your signature "👋 Heyy it's Addie and today we're watching Scream.", unless you want to give us a jump scare at the end of that reaction. BTW, nice butterfly tattoo.
