TYBW COUR 3 EPISODE 12 REACTION!!!

You explained Haschwalth's turn better than I could. Bazz-B understood that Haschwalth's uncle was a prick, but he was a kid, he didn't get the concept of abuse, he never thought that Haschwalth might hate his uncle enough to not want revenge for him, or that he might even feel grateful to Yhwach for it.

If that's so then why aren't they skeletons like Robert

Also to note. Bazz took 3 years to join Stern Ritter so his development must have been much much slower ever since parting with Jugram. On top of that, he was heavily weakened in this fight after having a lot of his power taken by Yhwach. He still had fire ability but Jugram was going through it consistently like a piece of cake. Latter didn't even use his own ability.

So Bazzard Black was Bazz's full name. Bruh most stern ritters survived this last auswhalen. Only Robert, gun user, died. I don't know why they said 'many died'. Jugram was acknowledged by Yhwach when latter said "I need you." And killing Yhwach wasn't even his mission. It was Bazz's. Jugram was powered up too after joining Yhwach so now he was able to absorb reishi in cour 2 when he was standing off against Shunsui and there was a reishi barrier in between. In that moment, Jugram left Shunsui urgently cuz Yhwach was gonna take a nap and that's when he routinely gets Yhwach's power for his protection. Jugram was told to be given letter "B". Uryu was the only one to recieve "A". Although, these letters don't represent order of strength, just name of the ability.

Funny you should say that at the end about "you wish they had more backstories". Yeah; that's what a lot of people were hoping for as well from this cour; more backstories about more of the major characters that didn't get any in the manga. So far; hasn't really happened, but the fourth cour is rumoured to have a lot more original content, so, don't give up hope~ Anywho; points! 1) Strangely enough one of the biggest changes they've made to this entire cour is the placement of this episode. In the manga; this entire fight and backstory was shown to use even before Mayuri vs Pernida started, it was basically the first really big event of this sub-arc in Wahr Welt. Moving it to closer to the middle is an interesting change, but I think it works well. 2) Yeah... unfortunately Haschwalth was being more than just *physically* abused by his uncle. The anime actually makes it a bit clearer with the soundtrack and voice acting; Kubo did the right thing in the mange by not making it explicit, but he actually did it so well that a lot of people completely missed the implications. (And tbh: I can't blame them. Child SA is not something people really want to be thinking about happening to anyone...) 3) You say that Haschwalth was turned with "a few nice words", but it's a lot more than that. You said it yourself; Haschwalth was basically set free when his family was killed in Ywhachs attack. Realistically; he had no reason to want to kill Ywhach in the first place; that was Bazz-B's desire. He just assumed that Haschalth would also be on his side since he didn't really know anything about his life, and Haschwalth went along with it, because that was his closest friend. And once again; think of that final moment from Haschwalths perspective. His uncle always said "You need me, Jugo." Bazz-B also always said "You need me to make you stronger", and in the final moments was even looking down on him out of jealousy. And then Yhwach come into the scene, a physical god of all things, looks him straight in the eyes and says "I need you; I cannot do anything without your help." It's the first time in Haschwalth's entire 17 years of life that he's been treated as a true equal; why *wouldn't* he completely pledge undyingly loyalty and protect Yhwach? 4) Why is Haswalth so strong when he can only give power? Well: remember that the reason Ywhach was looking for him in the first place is that he was looking for the only *other* Quincy that can give power. Bazz-B actually touched on it at the start of the episode, about how Haschwalth and Ywhach "swap powers" when Ywhach sleeps, but it's 99% certain they'll go into more detail about that in the next episode, so I won't spoil the details too much. Instead, I'll just focus on what he talked about in the flashback. You're watching MHA right now, so I can use this metaphor; Ywhach explains that he's gotten so powerful because he's able to use a relatively twisted version of "One for All". Basically: Ywhach gives his power out to any number of other Quincies; they train and grow their power, and then Ywhach takes back the power he gave them, as well as any other power they learned. Rince and repeat for 200 years. But, as you saw in this arc; when Ywhach takes power back from the Quincies; it almost always ends up killing them, because most Quincies can only take power. But then there's Haschwalth, who can give power away so easily he was doing it before he even knew he was doing it. For those two; swapping power is as easy as tossing a coin back and forth; Ywhach can give Haschwalth as much power as he wants, because he knows that at any point, Haschalth can and will give it back to him in a heartbeat.
