Hey everyone!!

This movie won a poll way back when, but after we watched it we realized it fit way better with the November movies than the October ones. (Especially after Red Dawn last week!) So sorry for the delay!

We both really loved Matthew Broderick in Ferris Bueller's Day Off, so of course we loved him here too. A bit more serious of a story, but he totally pulls it off!

I love 70's and 80's tech too. I still have all of my hardware from those decades in storage. I have boxes of 3.5 inch disks, 5.25 inch floppy and even a couple of 8inch floppies (very old) with a wopping 80kb of storage on it! I even remember playing Zork on my TRS80 Model I (also known as a Trash-80) I bought from RadioShack. The game was loaded on to a cassette (like the ones used for music). Also those large machines ya'll saw that you thought were servers... those where data banks, equivalent to a modern Harddrive, all data was recorded on magnetic tape reels that would have to be changed out if you needed to load different information.

This is one of those movies I never get tired of watching especially rewatching it with other first timers. I feel like if this movie was made today there would have been a twist ending showing that the Russians really where launching against the U.S. and everything the people at NORAD were seeing on the screens really was happening but they thought it would be just simulations. The story itself is basically an updated 80's version of other movies about nuclear launch scenarios most notably the 1964 film "Fail Safe". If you guys liked this movie I recommend giving that movie a try in the future.
