Also for some reason and I dont know why I loved The Romance between Tauriel and Kili and I usually hate romance and or sex scenes because they usually detract from the story. Everybody else even my twin brother hates The romance scenes between Tauriel and Kili but not me

2024-09-07 23:46:08 +0000 UTCI love the songs in this movie, and the animation is whimsical and charming; but as someone whose read The Hobbit and The Lord of The Rings books as well as The Supplementary material ie The Silmarillion and Lost Tales I can unequivocably state that Peter Jackson's Hobbit trilogy far exceeds this movie and his Lord of The Rings Trilogy far exeed Ralph Bakshi's Lord of The Rings and Rankin Bass's Return of The King. Yes I know he made serious changes most notably having Azog be a main villain instead of just a foot note; but I think his changes served the story well. I also loved Smaug's conversation with and taunting of Bard before he was killed. Tolkien's idea of a Thrush telling Bard where Smaug's weak point was and Bard being able to understand him was too contrived
