Weekly Update: January 4th, 2021

Heya folks! Hope everyone is well and that you all have had a good start to the new year. Super excited about 2021 and the projects and videos we have in store for the channel. Before we talk about upcoming plans, let's do a quick recap of 2020

Despite 2020 being a notoriously bad year for the world, it was actually the best performing year for the channel. We had multiple uploads break over a million views, I brought on new team members to help with the production of videos, and we even introduced an animated series to the channel. All in all, a great year!

I really hope to continue with that momentum into 2021 and keep covering bizarre topics. That really does seem to be the common denominator with my video reviews. They can be about rip-offs, furry stuff, animated adult content, failed films but all of them share the trait of being somewhat obscure. I guess that's one of the motifs of the channel and I plan on running with that theme

I also have plans of doing a LOT more "What RUINED/What's RUINING" vids in 2021. I was hoping to do quite a few last year but I wasn't able to get around to all of them. I don't like to rush those topics so I would rather delay them until they are 100% ready

That all being said, the first big video of the year will be a video run-down of animated shows and movies coming out in 2021. There's a looooot to talk about on that list lol. So much was pushed back from 2020 to 2021 and there's lots of new stuff being developed by streaming services to make them look good to buyers

That's all I really have to share for now! Here's hoping for a good 2021. As always, thank you so much for your support guys. Y'all are the best and it's a massive help <3

As was the case with your previous Animation Expectation videos, it'll certainly be a lot of fun hearing your initial thoughts about all of the animated movies and shows that will (hopefully) be coming our way in 2021 (fingers crossed there won't be as many delays this time around). I'll be looking forward to hearing about which shows and movies you are super excited about, which ones you are at least cautiously optimistic about, which ones you're willing to take a "wait and see" approach to, and which ones you are absolutely dreading. It will be especially interesting to hear about what I'm sure is a plethora of new stuff coming to Netflix, Disney+, HBO Max, etc., as streaming services are all the rage and television-as we know it-could very well become a thing of the past in our lifetimes. At any rate, you can be sure that I'll be excited to hear about all of this year's new animated projects! I am also glad to know that 2020 was such an amazing year for the channel, with videos that became super popular in a matter of days, some of the most interesting topics you've ever covered, new editors and other members who have contributed to making your videos even better, and most importantly of all, having you bring viewers the joy that they needed to get through the most difficult year that we have ever had. I'm happy to have contributed to the growing success of your channel by checking out your newest videos-and re-watching your old ones-on a consistent basis, and I am also pleased to support you on Patreon, follow you on Twitter, offer my suggestions for possible future videos on the subreddit, and more besides. You can bet that I will continue to support you and your videos in 2021...I have really enjoyed doing so up to this point, and I have no plans to end my support anytime soon! As for your 2021 plans, I'll definitely want to see more of the obscure, bizarre, furry, etc. movie reviews that have become a staple of your channel. I'm sure we can always give you a hand in suggesting which movies or shows could be suitable for the What the HELL is...series...there's always lots of interesting topics to cover on that series. While I will also be interested in whichever What RUINED/What's RUINING topics you have planned, I will always implore you to take all the time you need to ensure that those videos are the best that they can be (just like I did with the Veggietales video). I am sure that those videos will be worth the wait. All in all, here's to a good 2021 for your channel, a good 2021 in general, and a lot of wonderful videos to look forward to this year. Take care of yourself, Saber, and see you soon! =)
