Starting Dates In Game

Right now the starting date of every new game is randomized, meaning you could start in the middle of winter, you can start in summer, spring and so on. I'm curious to know whether or not I should give the player a choice in the beginning (in the Character Creation maybe) about whether they want the time of year/month randomized, or if the time of year/month should reflect the current real life date.
To clarify, right now it's November 4th and any game starting today would start on November 4th as opposed to right now it could be anytime during the entire year.

2018-11-06 10:25:40 +0000 UTCIt already will/does. But certain races have an affinity for the cold and others have affinity toward warmer climates. Weight matters too, heavier people will do better in winters whereas thinner people survive better in the summer. If you're wearing a coat in the winter you'll do better too and a coat in the summer will harm you more. These aspects are already in the game and only affect the player when they are outside. Or were you thinking of something different? Anonynn
