Mysteries of the universe

This comic was inspired by the time we encountered a random golf ball in a ditch beside the street, dozens of kilometres away from any golf fields. We started wondering just how far it would have had to fly, and how hard you'd have to swing to make it fly like that.

It's weeks later but today I saw a mystery golf ball appear at the train station and I figured out what happened: some kind of scavenging bird picked it up from the golf course because they thought it was an egg. When they couldn't crack the "egg" with their beak they tried to break it by flying up high and dropping it. And when that didn't work they gave up and left it.

That's funny! One day my husband and I were really tired and he looked over at the side of the road at a couch that had seen better days and was right beside an overpass of the highway we were on. He looked at the couch and with the was wondering why we were seeing an uptick in the suicide of sofas jumping off onto the highway. We must have been tired enough that that joke sustained us for an hour.
