New Patrons + Save News

Hey everyone, my three days of rest and relaxation are up! So now its time to get to know some brand new patrons annnnnnnd I have some news regarding a couple of different things! Should make for a fun post ^_^

First off, thank you all very, very much for your extremely generous donations on behalf of the game. My family and I greatly appreciate it! As you may already know donations help by allowing me to add music, pictures and other fun additions (as that can be quite expensive). They also allow me to work less at regular jobs so that I can focus more time and attention to the development of AMS which is one of my dreams. So again, thank you all ^_^

I'm also very open to questions you might have, concerns, critiques, grievances etc 24/7 (although sometimes I may actually be sleeping and might not be able to get back to you until the next morning or so). I'm also extremely active on Discord and readily answer questions there sometimes moments after you type them. The reason for this is that I'm trying to make the development of the game as transparent and open as possible so there are no surprises to any of you along the way. Hopefully I'm doing a good job!
Anyway, you should expect a Benefits Email heading your way either tonight or tomorrow which will contain all of the codes you've earned and how to use them. Save News:
Great news! So I've been talking with a high level programmer who works a lot with helping people in Quest and I told him about the Save/Load System and how it needs a major update/revamping or needs to be completely scrapped and rebuilt from the ground up. After talking with him a while, he said this...
"But what I was thinking was making the save/load status split into "domains" (dungeons/chapters/etc). Each domain would be grouped together. Before the player enters a specific area for the first time, the game creates an in-memory clone of all the objects in that area. When the player presses "save", it compares the clone to the current status of the area, and saves only those values that have changed while the player was in there; so the save system doesn't need to store anything that hasn't changed. Obviously, the player's attributes and inventory would always be saved, and there could be a smaller list of attributes that need saving once the player has left the area. (If an NPC likes you should still be saved, in case you come back, but the location of every item doesn't need to be stored when you leave an area. Few people would object if the number of apples on a table goes back to its default value while the player is away, or if monster corpses get tidied away in the background."
^ so this is one possible solution. But the fact remains that Save/Load is going to be fixed so that it works properly because not only are all of you tired of it but I am as well. With that said, I'm going to work with this programmer to make sure it covers what it needs to cover.
