Added 2024-09-20 12:10:42 +0000 UTCWe have this conversation a lot - originally the punchline of the comic was going to be something along the lines of "I will literally pay money for the luxury of not having to listen to you complain about not having money" but there was no way to word it in a way that would be gentle enough for the foxes, especially since such arguments are always playful and in jest between us. Also he personally requested that I would change the "mooch off" in the last panel to "leech off", and this was the first correction/change request from him to an unpublished comic that I downright refused to do. It would come off too mean.

It's not mooching if it's offered 💕 I refused help for a long time until someone asked me, "Doesn't it make you happy to help others out?" I answered, "Definitely! 😍" They then asked me (in a nice way) "Why would you deny others the opportunity to experience that joy by refusing their offer of help?" That hit me hard. There is more happiness in giving 😊
