For simple things, I treat instructions as a "last resort" type of thing, and I normally don't need them. For complex (or expensive) things, I treat the instructions as a bible and get furious when they aren't well written.

2022-04-27 09:59:18 +0000 UTCI tend to look at manuals as GUIDELINES rather than absolute rules. It's a miracle I haven't electrocuted or blown myself up by now. Or destroyed every thing I assemble.
