2025-03-22 22:47:19 +0000 UTCWhen you see the beautifully 2D animated videos on the official Marvel youtube channel that depict classic moments from the Spider-Man comics, it makes me sad that they didn't just go with a style like that. CGI takes less time and makes the web-slinging scenes look great but the 3D stock models in the background of every scene kill me every time. My guess is that they wanted to make it look like a comic and go for a Spider-verse style but I don't think it fully worked.
