Added 2024-01-07 15:00:09 +0000 UTCAll December I worked on this portrait of my best friend E (they/them). They’re incredibly brilliant, patient, kind, compassionate and wise. Devastatingly funny, clever and talented. Stronger than they should have ever had to be. So beautiful it makes me short circuit on the regular. And they see the good in me. Since knowing them, I feel like I’m a better person.
The hand position is the dharmachakra mudra, which brings balance and harmony, and understanding of eternal change. Dogwood for the great affection we share.
This came out exactly as I wanted it to, and I’m proud of it (especially the metal! And their eyes). I just really wanted to show them how I see them, and for others to see them too.
