The future again.
Added 2025-01-10 04:48:08 +0000 UTCDid I say I had free time? Haha...
Here's how the future is shaping up.
My mother has been confirmed to have the very beginning signs of cancer in her liver. That's treatable! So much so that the hospital wants to treat that before they'll do a transplant.
The downside is they'll only do that kind of treatment in house. It takes a month. So Mom and I will be headed back north in about 2 to 3 weeks. We'll be up there for a month!
Once that is done, they will reassess her needs for a liver, and decide if she needs one or not. I suspect they will due to her sundry illnesses, and because she has an AB+ blood type, she can get a liver from almost anyone (pending its size). She'll get a liver decently fast as she'll be at the near top of the list to receive.
The transplant and recovery is a six week process. Mom and I will be up there again.
If everything flows quickly then there's no reason why this all can't be done by May or June of this year. Then it's simply come see them every 2-3 months for a checkup.
Until then ... My second home is becoming up North. This is going to continue to disturb my work.
Thank you all for your patience during this. Feels like life was tired of letting me take it slow and now it's just go go go.
