Ted's Dolls 47: Jemma
Added 2024-12-21 05:00:07 +0000 UTCTed's Dolls was meant to be an anthology series of doll transformations. But the continuity has become very important. Please read them in the suggested order as found in this gallery on deviantArt or as listed on my Patreon.
Jemma was manipulated to be Richard’s girlfriend by Mr. M in TD Interlude 6, Part 1.
Jemma lay in bed watching Richard sleep. Their limbs were commingled. Her thoughts churned over her visit with Dr. Morova the day before. She hadn’t told Richard she was going and considering what she found out. She was glad she hadn’t.
He looks so peaceful, she thought. He has no idea what he’s done. What was done to him. I should push him to see the doctor. Oh, he’s waking...
“It’s Wednesday, Richard.” Jemma said.
“Good morning. I’m aware of that. What movie do you want to rent this evening?”
“Don’t you want to see Rob and, um, Simon and the others at the poker game?”
“I haven’t been to poker in a couple months.”
“I know. But, you were so happy to see those guys when we went to Earl’s and Rhana’s place for dinner during Winter break. That was over a month ago. Why don’t you text Rob and tell him you’ll be there tonight.”
“We rent a movie every Wednesday night.”
“I know but I feel like you don’t see your friends because of me.”
“I spend time with you because I want to.”
“I know. I’m just saying I don’t mind if you spend time with your friends. I was hoping to go spend a few hours with my friends.”
“Who?”
“What do you mean who?”
“You’ve never mentioned any friends before. I asked you several times if you wanted to have some friends over and every time you said I was your only friend.”
“Are you saying I can’t make friends with people?”
“No, I just don’t know who your friends are. You never mention anybody when I ask you how your day was.”
“We spend all our time together. I thought it would be nice to spend some time with other people for a change. We’re tight. We can safely loosen up.”
“Other people?”
“Yes, friends. I enjoy all the time I spend with you. That won’t change. But, you can’t eat your favorite food for every meal, every day. Other people will make our time together even better.”
He just looked at her for a couple minutes. “Okay. I’ll tell Rob I’ll be there. I wonder what the girls will be doing since Ted isn’t renting dolls any more.”
“That is weird. Do you know why?”
“I haven’t heard a reason.”
She kissed him and they embraced for a few moments.
“You have fun tonight. Maybe you’ll learn some gossip. That’s another reason we need to see more people.”
“I suppose you’re right. Don’t miss me too much.”
“I’ll try not to.”
“Hey, how about a ‘won’t see you all day’ tit rub?”
“You want me to get under the desk.”
“You love when I rub your tits with my feet.”
“Yes, I do.” Do I? Did I like it or did the controls make me like it? Was him telling me I love a tit rub his attempt to use the pendant against me?
She disrobed and crawled under the desk. I don’t want him to get angry by disobeying him.
The balls of his feet moved in circled on her breasts. Her nipples reacted to the stimulation. This isn’t so bad. I wonder why he likes doing this. Well, it does give me time to think.
I guess it makes sense he doesn’t know about the kidnapping. He probably has the same things in his mind that I had. What did Dr. Morova call it? The same controls I had. I bet it’s so he doesn’t think about Emily. Did Emily do this with him? I should find her. We need to talk.

Jemma stood outside the door to the room she believed was Emily’s door for several minutes before she knocked. She wanted to just run as far away from the door as possible. Emily had treated her nicely the few times they’d spoken so far. But, she also might have put something into Jemma’s head. Was this a good idea?
“You looking for Emily?”
She turned at the sound and found a short, pale woman wearing mostly black had addressed her. Her clothing was styled to give the impression of Victorian clothing, without the huge bustles and hoops. “Um, yeah. I guess she isn’t here.”
“She’s never here. It’s too bad. Her and Jane had a decent sized room that no one is using. I’m Mary.”
“Jemma. Any idea where Emily is?”
“Eta Delta Tau, last I heard.”
“Oh, that’s very helpful. Thanks, Mary.”
“Aren’t you dating Richard?”
“Yes.”
“Good luck finding her.” Mary turned and went back into her room.
Getting into the sorority house was easier than she expected. Whitney answered the door. Jemma remembered her from the dinner party over break.
“Hi, Jemma. What brings you here?”
“Is Emily here?”
“Probably. Is she expecting you?”
“No. I had nothing to do tonight so I thought I’d find someone to talk to.”
“And you picked Emily.”
“Is that a problem?”
“No, no. Come in. I’ll see if I can find her.”
They passed through the foyer into the main room. Trish and Karen were there chatting. “Trish, can you keep Jemma company while I find Emily?”
“Emily? Oh, sure. Okay. Come, have a seat, Jemma. I’m surprised Richard isn’t with you.”
“He went to his poker game tonight.”
Trish stood up. “Karen, can you stay with Jemma? I just remembered I need to call a few people about a group project.”
“Sure.”
Trish went to the house office where she believed Paris was going doing her presidential duties. “Paris?”
“Hey, Trish. How…?”
“Jemma just showed up here looking for Emily.”
“Interesting. That might be good.” She took out her phone and sent a text to Ted.
“Will it be?”
“I hope so. It might mean she went to the wizard doctor.”
“Oh. Maybe. I feel like such a gossip.”
“Where’s Jemma now?”
“With Karen. Whitney is getting Emily.”
“Okay. You might want to lure Karen out of the parlor. Whitney will be discreet. I’m not so sure Karen will read the room.”
“I’m on it.”
Paris received a text from Ted asking her to keep him updated.
Whitney returned to the living room. “Emily will be right down.”
“I don’t know why she gets to live here without pledging,” Karen opined.
“We can discuss that with Paris if you’d like. Let’s do it now. I’m sure Emily and Jemma would like some privacy.”
“They would? Oh, sure. Nice seeing you, Jemma.” Karen got up and left.
“You, too.” Jemma said. She mouthed to Whitney, ‘Thank you,’ who nodded in acknowledgment.
A few moments later, Emily entered the parlor. She wore a plastic smile that Jemma suspected she was the source of. “Hi, Emily.”
“Hi. How are you?”
“A wreck,” Jemma said.
“Oh?” Emily sat down next to her.
“I haven’t been myself for a couple months. I have to thank you for convincing me to see Dr. Morova.”
“I did what?”
“It’s okay. I don’t mind. I learned some horrible things. I owe you a debt I can never repay. I…”
“No, you don’t.” Emily pulled Jemma into a hug.
“I stole Richa--…”
“No, you don’t. No, you didn’t,” Emily said, holding Jemma more firmly. “Believe me. It would be much easier for my mental health to blame you for what happened between... I wanted to blame you but I know I shouldn’t. I can’t. One of the people to blame has been dealt with. I’m still working on dealing with the other.”
“The doctor didn’t tell me about a second mind wizard.”
“Oh, the second person isn’t a mind wizard. He’s a money wizard and his days are numbered.”
“Numbered? You aren’t going to…”
“Kill him? I’d like to. But, no. I’m not a murderer. I’m not so sure he isn’t though. He’s just going to get the comeuppance he deserves if my plan comes together.”
They sat holding one another for several minutes in silence.
“How is… how’s Richard?” Emily whispered.
“I don’t know. I’ve tried to get him to see Dr. Morova but he won’t hear of it. I… I pushed him away tonight.”
Emily didn’t say anything.
“He’s at his poker game. The stuff in my head was designed to make us codependent. I’m trying to break that. I’m so sorry. I shouldn’t talk about him in front of you.”
“I asked. And I’ll help you get him to see the doctor. Admittedly, I might be a little selfish in my motives trying to get his head fixed. But, neither of us can truly be with Richard as long as he isn’t in control of his own mind.”
“I know. The doctor said that. And I… I told the doctor I no longer thought I was in love with Richard. A week ago I’d have said of course I was and whatever was messing with my head would have made think that I was,” Jemma said. “I don’t dislike him. We just can’t be at that level of a relationship given the circumstances nor this soon.”
“Don’t take this the wrong way. I wish I could confidently say I wasn’t in love with Richard.”
“You poor thing.”
“I’m fine.”
“I don’t think you are.”
Emily teared up. “I’m really not. That’s why I sleep here. I can’t face the dorm room where I got Jane kidnapped.”
“I’ll hold you like you held me a moment ago if you like.”
“Okay.”

Richard’s arrival at the poker game was a little awkward.
Murat was oblivious to the social dynamic. “Good to see you, Richard. Where were you the last couple weeks?”
“Watching movies with Jemma.”
“Jemma? Who’s Jemma? Is she that pre-med student?”
“Yes, that’s her.”
“Is she friends with Emily?”
As Richard was about to say, “who?” Burke said. “Don’t give him the third degree. Young lovebirds need a lot of attention. Not that you know anything about that.”
“Ha, ha,” Murat said. “That may have changed.”
“Oh?”
“Maryann and I are having our third date Friday night.”
“You asked her out?” Earl said.
“I did. She was so happy. I must be an idiot.”
“It’s not your fault you aren’t wired to see what’s right in front of you,” Rob said.
“I hope that wasn’t supposed to be mean?”
“Only a little, Murat. We love you because you’re very friendly and still a bit socially awkward.”
“Maryanne tried to tell me that maybe she was bad at flirting. I’m sure she was just trying to be nice.”
“See you managed to pick up on that. You’re already improving.”

Paris, Trish, and Whitney entered the living an hour after Jemma arrived. Jemma and Emily were lying on their backs on the large sectional sofa. Their heads were next to one another. Emily had been talking when the other women entered. Jemma sat up while Emily remained on her back.
“I can’t believe what happened to you,” Jemma said, sitting upright.
“I see everything is okay in here,” Paris said.
“I haven’t turned her into a potted plant,” Emily said. She sat up and scooted closer to Jemma.
“Could you do that?” Whitney said.
“Maybe. I shouldn’t be able to turn people into dolls. So…”
“You shouldn’t be able to? You turned me into a doll.”
“And you’re fine now.”
“Maybe they can help,” Jemma said. “I know what happened. I went to see Emily’s psychiatrist wizard and she…”
“Psychiatrist wizard?” Trish said. “I know I shouldn’t have interrupted. I just couldn’t let that slip by.”
“Dr. Morova is a psychiatrist and a mentalist wizard,” Emily said. “I’m only seeing her because Ted said she could be trusted.”
“She broke the controls in my head,” Jemma said. “I was blindly in love with Richard for two months because of what was done to my brain.”
“And now?”
“I still have feelings for him. But, I’ve met Emily and I know how Richard was made to leave her. It isn’t right.”
“You said we could help. What can we do?” Paris said.
“We can’t figure out how to get Richard to see Dr. Morova.”
The five of them brainstormed the problem until Whitney said, “I’ve got it. Couples therapy.”
“That’s good,” Paris said.
“Yeah. But, he thinks everything between us is good,” Jemma said.
“Well, you just have to change that,” Trish said.
“I can try that. Forgive me for saying this, Emily, but I don’t want to torpedo my future chances with Richard. I understand you were his girlfriend and you really didn’t break up. Still, the two of you only dated for a couple months before I was thrust into his arms.”
“That’s fair,” Emily said. “You may even have me beat in number of days together by now.”
“But, what I’ve had, what I have now is all a sham. And I don’t think I can change that without help.”
“You can have all the help you want,” Paris said.
“You’ve all already helped. I can see clearly now and I had no idea I was living a lie.”
“We have friends in the poker group. Make sure he continues attending each week. Do things that he might mention to the guys that bothers him about you, nothing extreme. We can get the guys to suggest therapy,” Paris said.
“I’m worried his controls will just make him think the things that should bother him don’t bother him.”
“We won’t know until you try,” Whitney said.

I thought about that. Really, it is only Emily who is "too reasonable". No reason for anyone else to be unreasonable. (Well, except Karen, she could've been more obtuse, I suppose. :) ) Next week is the something new happens I promised a week or two ago.
