Which part of a story are you into the most?

I'm currently in the writing phase of a new shapeshifting story, but it's gotta be a specific panel length which is really short... this means I've gotta be VERY specific with what I include.

There are three people who shapeshift in this story, and in talking with my writers we were wondering which part is best to focus on? So I wanted to ask you guys! Should we:

-Focus on each individual shapeshifting sequence?
or
-Do it all condensed to have more time 'testing' their bodies afterwards?

This can easily also be asked about hopping/possession sequences, so even if you don't like shapeshifting I'd love to hear your answer in regards to hopping!
Do you like the actual hopping sequence itself, or do you rather they be over quicker and get on to the character testing their new body?

Let me know what you think!
Much love,
Nexy xx

at the same time i dont want what comes afterwords to be left out either or shortned too much i can see both sides

I think they mean when the personality changes a bit in accordance with the physical looks.

Zeno

You mean corruption basically?

Nexstat

Insightful as ever 😆

Nexstat

Yeah, makes sense! 🙂

I like my Vodka Martini, Shaken, Not Stirred

Aribeth

Okay.

I prefer the shapeshifting, but it comes down to what the story is. When introducing the transformation for the first time, it may be good to present it in detail to really emphasize the process. But afterwards, especially if there are multiple transformations and the like, quick changes can work just as well because the transformation has already been established. It really comes down to what the story requires.

MrInternetMan

love that too but also when the shifts and the new look kinda affect a bit the personality but not the core, or well maybe the core in extreme cases

Sofia

Haha, you and me both!

Nexstat

Yeah I think you're right, what I'm gonna do is focus on different things in each sequence so that they don't feel samey 🙂

Nexstat

I personally like when a woman shapeshifts into a more beautiful woman and uses this ability to seduce men afterwards.

Zeno

So you are short on panels. What I'd do: if the transformations are rather similar, only show the first transformation in full length (e.g. five panels). For all the others use one panel or none. General rule: only show what is new, repetitions are boring.

sen

Yeppers, fair enough!

Nexstat

Yeah I get what you mean, I'd probably consider that the second option as it's more about what they do after the specific shift/hop 🙂

Nexstat

I honestly like the shifting/hopping scenes more, but it does feel like we are quite lacking on immediate aftermath stuff where they are getting reoriented and 'familiarise' themselves with their new bodies.

PermierAuthurcrat

I personally really like to see them "settling in", getting comfortable and then "get into character". That can also happen during the sequence, so I'm kinda inbetween.

graphene

Yep, perfect! Thanks for clarifying 😊💜

Nexstat

For me it’s the sequence itself. So watching them shift into their new body and watching them moan. Seeing their new hopped bodies panic as they fight for control before taking over. That’s what I like to see more personally ♥️

So do you mean you like the shapeshifting sequence itself over the stuff they do to themselves afterwards?

Nexstat

I personally like them both, but seeing them either shift/ hop into their new bodies, biting their lips and either leaking/ cumming from the experience in my opinion binds the reader and characters better. Then in the future you can do spin off’s for each of them if they prove to be popular. That’s just my opinion though. Hope this helps ☺️
