I can't really teach somebody right now, but I can share with your the resources that I found most helpful to learn with. The best book I ever read is "Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain" by Betty Edwards. This should really be required reading for anybody who wants to learn how to draw. It's less about how to draw, and more about how to learn how to draw, if that makes any sense. After reading it I started improving a lot faster in my practice, and wish I had read it way earlier. After that the best thing you can do is figure drawing to learn anatomy and shapes and stuff. Ideally you should go to live figure drawing classes, but there are figure drawing websites and youtube channels that you can find pretty easily. Doing figure drawing for 30 minutes a day is a very good habit to get into. An hour is even better. Mix it up between short (1 min) sketches and longer 30 min ones. Even then it will still take a long time, so be patient! I spend about 2 years doing this before I was able to produce work I was happy with, and its been about 6 years since I started overall.
