"He wasn’t the other one either." -> "the only one" Good chapter, the Radiance skill fits her Moon theme nicely, and the buildup for next chapter is strong with this one. I do think some people will hear him scream, since sound usually carries well in caves... though it might not be exactly recognizable as his, or even human voice after a few turns and bends.

2025-09-02 23:41:22 +0000 UTCHmmmmmmm I've gotta wonder if our Star might've nudged that skill a bit for it to be Moonlit Radiance instead of searing light. I've always thought of it as a much more gentle form compared to Sun-radiance, and it's on theme :) And now, because I'm just a big ol' nerd.... I was musing on her skills earlier and gosh heck I'll do it again! Lunar magic typically tends to float around the schools of divination (which we've seen with Guiding Light), Recovery (think things like Moonwater in alchemy), and minor abjuration effects (a bit tricky to say definitively/specifically). I've also seen some peeps include aspects of illusion and enchantment. The effect we've seen here *could* have been an area enchantment, but we already know Aylin snagged Mictal Fog from Temoc earlier, and there's no reason he couldn't have gotten it or something similar again. Plenty of 'sapping' curses floating out there in media. If it was, it'd likely be considered somewhere close to the school of necromancy, and that's when the "minor abjuration" comes up. In most media, some form of "protection from Evil" is at least partially associated with the Moon. Oh, yeah, and lycanthropes. That'll give peeps somth to ponder as we keep tryna guess WHAT Aylin is, or was, specifically. ------ Anyhow she's gonna totally embarrass that spider with her Supreme-Strength String Skills. Poor thing, shoulda skipped the ambush even if it's on theme for them. Alas... Temoc first tho, probs, yeah? I wonder if he'll launch into a whole dramatic Evil Villain Speech(tm) or focus on doing his job. Side note, I've noticed I'm starting to incorporate the term "yep" in my mental speech patterns and I believe it iso nly a matter of time before it starts to leak into my typing as initially when I wrote "probs, yeah?" I realized how close to typing 'yep yep' I was. Lordy this got long, thanks for the chap!
