Elfie using "Super!" is sorta like someone unironically using the term "Groovy!" in this day and age, isnt it? Neat that they had the two fill out a specific word count from each book instead of trying to translate all of them wholesale. My guess is they're going to try to translate the rest on their own, then follow-up with Moon/Troy and compare their work to the duo's. There's something to be said for them perfectly capturing the undertones and translating them as best as possible into Common, however much the language can encapsulate the full meaning. That reminds me a scenes in BTDEM, where Iona was dealing with researchers trying desperately to nail the meaning of an unknown word with 100% accuracy. They both had their theories they had come up with, and were trying to poke her for verification since she was in a similar situation as Troy/Moon in her ability to interpret.

2025-09-02 18:58:07 +0000 UTCI was wondering the same actually. She literally calls it Ether Strings, which is an accurate desctription, but the use is diametrally different from strings used on bows and other weapons, so it would be a gamble whether it would work.
