Added 2025-09-12 19:51:13 +0000 UTCIt's a bit of a spiritual sequel to the Woody Allen Club Random, as Bill Maher has another guest he claims a deep respect for while also being a fuckin' little rude ass to them. Past guest Al Worth returns to my show, and I am NOT a little rude ass to them, so a point for Will Weldon. Al brings their knowledge as both a musician AND a Billy Joel fan, which is good because I don't know much about the guy, whereas Al at one point points out that Bill Maher fundamentally misunderstands one of Billy Joel's own songs, and Billy Joel is just like "yeah, whatever man." Also, I'm realizing that three of the four people involved in this episode are named "William". Ha ha, sensational!

Like them or not, Nirvana is without question one of the biggest and most influential rock bands ever. They have 3 proper studio albums. Led Zeppelin has 8 studio albums. Cream has 3.5 studio albums (Goodbye is half live half studio). Most of the great punk/New Wave bands only released a few albums. I could go on and on. Bill Maher is an idiot.

Clearly Billy Joel loves 60s hard psychedelic rock, Bill doesn’t. MULTIPLE times now Bill has mentioned to rock legends like John Fogerty and Chris Robinson that he’s not into Jimi Hendrix lol. There are a plethora of reasons to hate Bill Maher, not liking Hendrix is in my top 5. It might be #1. Also, American Pie is one of my least favorite songs ever! Insufferable to listen to.
