Just curious , Is this the summer room?

Linda Parr

I’m not sure if anyone has said this yet, but that process your describing Christine of dipping paper in water and having those marble designs is called Suminagashi, it’s the Japanese art of floating ink on water , swirling the ink and transferring the surface design to paper. It’s been co-opted in modern times to printing designs and pictures and transferring them onto the surface of water and dipping any item into it and transferring the design onto the items. Hydro dipping is done on things like helmets, car parts, etc anything they want to put a pattern onto. ;) hope that’s helpful and also correct, going off of memory!

How do you hide your electrical cords? We have a 1814/1902/1910 house. I say that because the first part of the house was built in 1814, it was added onto in 1902 and then again 1910. The front door has changed directions 3 times. I love hidden technology, so for example in our kitchen you won’t see any outlets but there are 18! Well, 19…I had to add one. But lamps are a challenge, and in all the videos I’ve watched I have not seen one lamp cord! So either you have a clever way of hiding them…or you’re playing with fire! Either way, it’s beautiful!

I collect midcentury kitschy stuff, I just look at your house and think, ”What is her dusting strategy?”😆

Wendo Calrissian

I think a small house in the Carolinas would be nice. I'm counting down the days, I'm at 10 right now until my Jamaican trip. Sunshine!

Kris

haha I loved the romance story of you and the captive

Maria L.

Fairytale house for sure!

Teri Sutton

booo to the house strippers!!!!!!!!!!!!

Karmell Mazurek

We need a southern gothic house from Christine. Spanish moss, wooden church vibes, old greenhouses and vines

Dawn Hargy-Louden

not great for sound but you are normally very soft spoken

Karmell Mazurek

I hope your craft room will include how to incorporate your modern tools into your aesthetic - especially your desk/workspace! And if you’re finally getting into stationery, check out Shibuinorth.com. A UK fountain pen seller who has a “creepy little skulls” series where skulls are etched all over the nib. Or maybe a collaboration with your own design?

Gincredible

Feel better soon, Christine!!

Racheal Jones

have you considered bookbinding and recovering? I think you could do some fantastic creepy-looking books covers!

CJ O'Connor

St. Francisville, Louisiana!

Laura

The Root of Evil is fantastic!! Also, fun fact: You share a birthday with Elizabeth Short 😁

Grant Hiekel

Tudor with a pool! I love them, so did Walt Disney…you could make it so magical 🦉😉

Karen

the paper you are describing is actually call marbled paper

Maria

Christine have you listened to the podcast Ghost Story? It's an old school whodunnit/ murder mysery meets haunted house (think eyeless ghosts!) think you would love it, one to enjoy while you recover! x

Martha Thursday

Athens Georgia. It's a college town, which had its pros and cons. But there are so many gorgeous homes off campus & there is so much to do while still being away from the hustle and bustle of a bigger city. I went to grad school for art there, and I still miss it.

Anne Z Knight

Your nightgown/dress is so pretty. So sorry to hear you've been ill, I've had covid the past couple of weeks so horrid! Would love to see behind the scene photos and definitely a fairytale tudor house for you 💕

Hannah

Natchez, Mississippi is pretty spooky

The Ghost in the Attic

A creepy southern manor. The kind with lots of atmospheric Spanish Moss would be fantastic.

Starla

Tudor style for sure. I grew up in the 50's and 60's and just don't care for the aesthetic.

Elizabeth Ann Scarborough

I missed the live! 🙄😏 so I just watched it and loved it! 🥰

Exinilda A Castro

Hi Christine! Hope well. I'm a wallpaper winner and dropped you a message!

Cathleen Murray

That's probably the wiser choice since it's suuuper long and you'll be able to pause it to use the washroom 😂

Tilura

my dad was like that . I miss him. So lucky to find the right partner.

Linda Pastorino

Georgia has incredible gardens and houses lots of court yards

I almost went to see it this evening, but I think I will wait until it is out of theaters to buy it, get it from the library, or stream it

Gretchen Maybelle

I finally made a tea, yes

Tilura

Yay, a new Livestream! Hello from Minneapolis!

Michelle Heather Cohen

Inspired by Christine's Predators & Prey wallpaper, I'm now taking digital illustration classes so I can design wallpaper, too!

Kristin Rogersdotter

That’s ambitious!

Melissa

Will miss it as I’m heading off to work now, but looking forward to listening to it on my commute home! Xx

Mio Selena

Its in the middle of the night Here in the north of Sweden and work tomorrow. So i have something to look forward too after work!

Anna Hillman Forsberg

I just love listening to his music that's on Christine's episodes. It's such a mood 😍 I think it's Tier 2 and above they have links to his music. You can download them into your Dropbox account. And if you program Dropbox to automate their download into wav files, you can link your Dropbox account to Cloudbeats and listen to them on a shuffle loop. I love doing this during chore time. Chore time is so much less a chore, then. Just makes me happy. 😊

Melissa

Grant's music? Tell me more!

Diana

I've been inspired to paint a "wallpaper" in my guest room thanks to Christine & Blanche Devereux. Fun Fact: Blanche's Palm Tree pattern is called 'The Martinique' which first appeared in the Beverly Hills Hotel in the 1940's. #themoreyouknow #craftingwithchristine #thankyouforbeingafriend ;)

Ryan Love

Won't be able to see the Live ... it's family time 😊 But I'm listening to Grant's music while doing laundry. 😄 Even while doing laundry the day is more magically and scarily mysterious with this in the background. Anyone else loop these tunes while doing chores?
