Hi Christine! I'm a recent patron & just watched this vid. Just wanted to let you know that fledermaus is german for bat. There's also an operetta by Johann Strauss II called Die Fledermaus. I saw a recorded production in the 90s as a child; as I recall, it was pretty funny.

Bronwyn Wheldon

I’m behind on videos, so I’m watching this like a week after Angela Lansbury died…spooky

Edgy Sprinkles

Making these for my wedding right now. I'm making mine purple and putting a little scoop of gold mica powder in them, so when they're shaken up they swirl around and change color!

Carlie Brashears

My kids and I all just adore you Christine!

Amanda Bain

Love you, Christine!!✨ I can’t wait to watch the new episode multiple times as I always do!!🔮

Allison Pagano-Speers

It is coming! :D

Christine McConnell

I guess theres no episode this month 😔

Tracy

How's your spine? Mine is getting better, hope yours is too!

Tracy

I only mentioned it because I wish someone had alerted me when I turned 40. Perimenopause can start at any time after 40 and the process can last a long time. Christine has small bones like me. Your body changes in ways you can't see then Bam! You have an accident and its worse than you would ever have expected. I was just concerned for her.

Alyne Whiteswan

the preserving flowers question someone asked ---- i recently read about ussing silica gel to dry flowers. check that out - it looks like the results are really nice and keeps the structure intact better: https://farmhouseandblooms.com/how-to-dry-flowers-with-silica-gel/

Aaron Doctor

She's born in '81, depending on family history, some women start in their early 40's. It's personal and really not our business, but it is not unusual for women in their early 40s to go into perimenopause.

Izile

well I’m really late watching this, but spinal fluid should be clear to slightly amber. just fyi-the amber looks more fun. Now peritoneal fluid, especially ascites thats dark amber to milky and thats never normal so it always looks gross. I’m a NOC ER RN who was trying hard to be a day-walker in Hawaii during your live stream, it was great fun for the plane! Thanx for the entertainment and now I’m going back to Michael’s for more spooky supplies!!!

Cecelia Breslin

Glad to hear you are okay after the fall! I am a virologist and wanted to mention after watching a previous video about getting rabies vaccines. Any time you are in close contact with a bat for any given time, it is better to be cautious and get vaccinated as it is nearly 100% fatal. Thank you for being such an icon, inspiration, and relaxing distraction!

Shannon Harger Payen

Oh my gosh! I LOVE this!! :D I might have to make a label inspired by that :))

Christine McConnell

I was getting ready to work on this project and asked my husband if he had any old bottles that I could use (he is an archeologist and has a collection in his office) He brought me one that I can add to the collection that doesn't even need a label... its a Victorian 12 panel bottle about 5.5 inches tall and it says "KENDALL'S SPAVIN CURE FOR HUMAN FLESH" .... made me chuckle, its absolutely perfect to add to this poison collection (as an antidote of course incase accidental poison ingestion)

Ashley L Ward

That’s the actual attic in her amazing home.

My week has been breathtaking hectic (with a large dose of awfulness) so watching this today was SUCH a lovely reprieve! What was darling about this post was seeing how excited you were to craft these. The glee you exhibited was infectious, and you did a masterful job! Hope everyone else also had a lovely time watching and crafting along. Hope you're feeling all right after your terrible fall! :( If you injured your back I really hope you did some imaging. I'm terrified of MRIs, but doing those really helped me move forward after my car accident. I don't think the woman who hit me (of advanced years) even looked over her shoulder nor in her mirror when she plowed into me LOL. As a result of the imaging I had done my docs were able to figure out next steps for me, including PT that was appropriate for my injuries (lateral tear in my disc, moderately bulging dics throughout my spine, pinched nerve etc). Just hope you're taking good care of you, and remember to listen to your body if you can! Get well soon!

Jenny McKinsey

Loves this video! The little bottles are so cute 🥰. BTW this video is so relaxing to watch.

Melisa

Someone asked about preserving flowers— you can buy desiccant beads (like the grains in those little pouches that come in shoes) online and cover a flower in them in a jar or box. After about two weeks depending on the flower you can remove the flower and its shape (and most of the color) will be preserved for display in a shadowbox or cloche or something. I’ve also used rice and salt with good results.

Lindsay Prowlers

Omg so glad you're okay after falling off of a ladder!!! I know you have youth and health on your side, but I do worry about you :)

Lauren Laney

Fledermaus is btw the german word for bat 🦇

Antoinette du Bleumourant

The "Horse Moment" 😂 But I loved this craft along and I will now turn my vintage kitchen into a witch kitchen

Antoinette du Bleumourant

Match tip: you can light a candle to keep on the side and keep relighting the match when it goes out. Then you use less matches and don’t have any of the mobility constraints of a candle. They can also be saved for later when lighting a ton of candles by match. So long as one is lit, the others can be lit from the reserved sticks. Also very handy when you’re out of the long matches you need, but still have short ones.

Gincredible

Oh, I see! Thank you!! 😊

Suzie

Christine posted a photo of her coffin on IG and Trixie reacted to it

Malaika

Thanks Christine! I had a great time with this Curio label craftalong! I actually watched on my smart TV this time, and It felt almost as though I was right there with you :) Amazing and enjoyable.

Highlands Woman

Can someone please help me with the Tricia Mattel in Christine’s basement?! I missed this somehow, was it an episode?

Suzie

are you in front of a green screen?

Christine Zittell

We used to go digging in my grandpa’s bottle dump! We got some amazing medicine and hair tonic bottles… and some big ones to use for home brewed beer!

Susanfuzz

Lovey, creepy bottles! Hope you are all healed from your fall. Be careful!!!

Racheal Jones

Please pardon my ignorance but I would have thought she's a bit too young to be worrying about being perimenopausal, I'm no doctor and I'm not saying she shouldn't be careful of course but she is only young :)

Ali May

Does the Captive have a coffin too?

Alyne Whiteswan

I hope you feel better after that fall. I hope you got a checkup in case of any injuries. When you start getting into perimenopause your bones can get weak, so please take care. The bottles are cool!

Alyne Whiteswan

They all turned out brilliantly. Another way to age paper is with shoe polish, wax, or ink pads using a makeup sponge. To make the edges rough I just get a brush with water on it and dab at the paper until they roughen up, that way you're not wetting the image. So glad you didn't break anything falling off the ladder. In all honesty it's a good thing you didn't brace yourself for the fall, that way your body wasn't stiff on impact, which usually results in broken bones. Please take care 😊🖤🖤

Liana Palumbo

Another way I've found to age paper is pouring coffee or tea on the desired paper item then place on a baking sheet put in oven for a few minutes. works great and looks authentically old !

Dianna Porretta

You should definitely do a video or two where you show us various fall time events and places in the NY. The northeast is gorgeous, and it would be amazing to just see the area.

Steven Jenkins

I loved this! This may sound odd, but it's fun just to listen to you tell us about updates, personal events, and various stories. haha

Steven Jenkins

Sure I'll do that. My daughter and I love your crafts and videos. You are more helpful than you probably know for so many people. Thanks for all of the work that you do!

Hollie

Missed live. Hi from Scotland U.K.

Emma

Oh! I would love to see it! Can you DM me on Instagram? So glad you had fun :))

Christine McConnell

I made a messy sketch of some things on your desk while I was watching. :) I was going to show you here but it appears that I can't attach images. That was a really cool vintage inspired environment to work in though. It was fun to watch that project.

Hollie

That was alot of fun!! I love burning things!

Diane McCarty

The ones I didn’t burn up actually turned out really good. Thank you!

Erica McAdoo

I used some water, glitter and glycerin in one bottle

Erica McAdoo

I meant to say hello to all but the excitement got to me 😂

Vicky

candy apple making?

Michelline Norton

I wonder if it would look good to have wax around some of the bottle top

Anna Fausnacht

Could you dye cork using tea of coffee?

Anna Fausnacht

You could always cover the corks with wax or sealing wax

Chris Clarke

My spouse had a stem cell transplant for cancer treatment. We learned that Stem Cell fluid is a clear but tinged with pale pink blood. It almost look like miniature tapioca floating in the medical tubes. I also am a survivor that is left with a disability in my lymph system and if my skin is ruptured in my lower limb, it will leak a thick oozy pale yellow fluid. Almost like corn syrup. Would be fun to do some bottles as an Ode to Cancer.

Kristina Culver

You could also add an oil to one so you get a separated look

Chris Clarke

Hi from Durham North Carolina! I used our gas stove to burn edges on Halloween Party Invitations 8 1/2” x 11” I had to have a wetted rag nearby to dab when the fire caught hold too much🤪 The effect was cool it looks like the candle is more controllable & thus safer.

Gwyn Ronsick

We love Professor Poof

Mindy Patterson

Maybe a grill lighter would work.

Crystal Wager-Shaffer

Love this ! Any tips on cleaning old bottles?

Carol Blum

Looks great!

Crystal Wager-Shaffer

I work at a little apothecary shoppe. You can buy pretty bottles and fill them with soaps and lotions and custom scent with essential oils 🧪 🔮

The field out back shows thick fog hazily clinging to the last beads of dew in the meadow as the sun slowly rises to greet the horizon in smoldering tones of orange and gold. Autumn is arriving, it’s the perfect day to craft the time away together. 💕
