Taper Candle craft-along Livestream Tomorrow Night at 6:00PM EST

I hope you enjoyed this month's candle making episode! Now we're going to make something much simper, but also very useful :D The livestream link will be posted tomorrow and will start at 6:00 PM Easter Standard Time.
Things you will need:
A spool of candle wick
A metal nut (To be used as a weight)
A Tall thin metal container in a double boiler (I'll link below the items I used for this)
Paraffin, Bayberry or beeswax (A hard wax is ideal)
Wax Dye if you choose
Wax fragrance if you choose
A piece of wood roughly 1X2 inches thick and 8-12 inches long (these measurements are a simple ballpark, lots of things will work)
This should be a really fun one! We'll be in the attic and we'll see if the bats make an appearance :D

2021-11-30 00:16:44 +0000 UTCFor anyone who can't afford wax, go to the dollar tree and pick up some of the white pillar candles! They're hard wax, cheap, and already in a thick glass so you can melt them easily in a pot of water on the stove and pour them into the tall, thin metal container that we will be using for dipping. Also a cheap pack of crayons can help you tint the candle mixture. Can't wait for this project! Love you guys!

2021-11-29 17:24:24 +0000 UTCI have a Presto Kitchen Kettle that I use to melt wax in. I make candles for a shop at the Renaissance Festival and I like the temperature control on it. I also use it to fry corn dogs.
