Dev Build - Slapping Things Together

Heyo! I'm excited to drop a fresh new build with lots of new goodies for ya. Since adding the new weight mechanics in the last build was such a long and arduous process, I wanted to switch gears and slap together a bunch of smaller features that many of you have requested, including slapping!
Now clicking on jiggly bits is more fun and addictive than ever, and it works on blob sizes too! Hold space to open the interaction menu and you can choose between slapping or grabbing. (Grabbing doesn't work yet on the smaller sizes so it's X'ed out for now.) I plan to add other interaction options to this menu in the future and some reactions from the character too.
I also added more options to the status effects menu. Now you can control the min/max wait time between burps, hiccups and farts. You can also change the color of particle effects (saved per character slot) and adjust how sweaty or out of breath she is.
In addition, you can look around while in first person by holding right mouse and dragging. I want to add some way to feed yourself while in first person, but haven't gotten to it yet.
The character's pants will now start ripping as she gets fatter too. Plus I added a couple new pants options so you can finally wear shorts now. You can also find food to hand feed Jill in every level. There are snack carts on the beach and infinite pizzas in the apartment and yoga studio.
Lastly, I added sandbox versions of the Snackrooms ending scenes which you can access on page two of the level select screen.

Thanks, glad you like it! I want to do a massive belly-centric expansion sequence eventually, but that probably won't be for a while since it would have to be a much different setup.

Hold space bar to bring up the interaction menu and select the grab icon. This only works on the blob sizes for right now though. I'm still figuring out how to do it with the skinny body so its X'ed out at smaller sizes.

Everytime i come back and look at your updates its amazing what you are able to accomplish!!! the new body sizes for the "skinny" form are fantastic! I am a belly guy myself so I'd love to see a variation of her heftier but still mobile shape to be more tummy oriented, but i can understand if thats not one of your goals. INCREDIBLE WORK!!!

Would you ever consider having the character go from skinny into a selected body shape? You would select the shape before you start fattening and then morph into the body shape.

It's so much fun to fatten her up in the Skinny body mode JUST before her stance changes and she slows to a waddle. You can still sprint with a tremendous amount of blubber. Haha. Great work.

Glad you enjoy it! Remapping would be nice to have, but I probably won't get to it for a while. Tab does sound like a better key for it in the meantime so I might change it to that in the next update

Love the new first person mode now, it's so great to see her feet slowly disappearing and everything jiggle so much from movement. Any chance of moving the toggle to a more convenient keybind (tab?) or remappable keys? Anyways, I'm always really impressed by the tech of what you have here, looking forward to more updates.

I'll look into the no quake bug, that's not supposed to happen. I also plan to make a free cam that you can position wherever you want. The VR stuff was experimental and never intended to ship with these builds, however you might be able to reactivate it. Go to the install directory and look in the Dev Build - Slapping Things Together_Data folder. Find boot.config and open it in notepad. Paste this line on the bottom and it should allow VR to a limited extent. xrsdk-pre-init-library=OculusXRPlugin

Maybe just a mirror ceiling level, seeing as in any of the large sizes all you can really do is look up, lol

Dude, two things, well, I wanna start by saying this is FANTASTIC, but for some reason when she gets bigger and bigger now there is no "quake" effect anymore, shaking things off shelves and all that, and two if i can suggest, a "Fixed" camera angle where you can be in first person looking at her as she walks around! Oh and extra, Anyway to get a VR view back? I LOVED that.

That would be so cool. Unfortunately mirrors are super resource intensive to render. I might try it, but it would probably tank the framerate especially if there are multiple mirrors reflecting into each other.

Now that we can look around it would be nice to have a mirror room to look at yourself pov from more angles than in the yoga studio

Something like that or maybe just aiming at food thats in range and pressing a button to eat it. I'll mess around with it and go with whatever feels good.

Strange that the objects stop rattling. I'll look into it. It'd be cool to have some animations where she struggles to fit through stuff but that would be challenging. I might try it at some point.

Oh right before I forget, is it possible in the future that Jill could interact with herself? Like whenever she reaches a certain size for the skinny body she maybe touches her belly or butt? If this would be a nightmare to implement I understand and I'll love your game just the same

I really love that new slap mechanic, this is slowly coming together, I do have a suggestion for the first person view. I know you wanna be able to drag the food to yourself, would it be easier to automatically eat it when you are next to it?

A nice, simple update, I like all the new stuff. Pants ripping is definitely a plus. the only unfortunate thing- and this might have been just a one time bug on my end- is that at the largest mobile size, objects no longer get rattled when Jill walks (this still worked with blob sizes) also, something I forgot to mention last time, is that Jill becomes unable to fit through a door sooner than she logically should. She becomes unable to fit while it still looks possible for her to shimmy through. Maybe approaching a doorway (or other such narrow space) at certain sizes prompts Jill to adapt a 'shimmying' animation to try and squeeze through. Lastly, I found it amusing that the exit door in the burger pit is in fact a valid exit that takes you to the cursed apartment. Jill truly was so close, yet so far!

If you go to LocalDisk > Users > YourUserName > AppData > LocalLow > blobygon you will see folders for each build. Inside the folders are character save slots. Copy any save slot folders from an older build and paste them into this one. That should mostly work.

Loved the small features you added, I really enjoyed the slapping ability and I hope we can see more interactions such as poking and rubbing alongside reactions from Jill in the future. Is it possible to change the cursor whenever you start the game? It would be cool if the cursor turned into a little hand and changed depending on whichever "mode" you select. Am excited to hear what you're working on next keep up the great work!
