Dev Build - Lots of Little Things

I apologize for how long this update has taken. It's been kind of a rough month for development. I tried working on factory stuff and some tech for handling growth states in between skinny and blob sizes, but I've been hitting a lot of walls. Not to worry though! I'm sure there's solutions to these problems and I'll solve them eventually. In the meantime, here's a pretty beefy update with lots of improvements, bug fixes and new character options.

I've done a total overhaul on the UI so it's not made up of those chunky, monolithic panels anymore. I divided things up into smaller, collapsible menus to keep things tidier.  Be sure to check them out to find all the options.

I made lots of bug fixes as well. The feeding mechanic is a bit easier to use and less prone to glitches. Any weight gained will now persist between blob shapes and level loading. I also tried to eliminate some issues from the last build that were causing some PC's to chug badly despite handling older builds fine. (Hopefully that's fixed now.)

The character customizer has a lot of new options, including hair styles, eye types, glasses and more, plus 5 additional save slots for presets. I also added a menu for status effects so you can toggle stuff like hiccups and farts. More options for all these things are currently in the works.

Lastly, while the factory is very empty and far from finished, I decided to include it in this build so you can have a fresh location to blob out in. It's not optimized and doesn't work with the graphics settings yet, so keep that in mind if you get poor performance there. I put a test conveyor belt in so you can try it out, but the placement and amount of conveyors will change in the final version of this level. I still plan on adding the machines I mentioned in the last WIP post, but like I said, there's some hurdles to overcome.

Lol, I get that. I might be able to. It starts to get really pixelated if it's too high, but maybe I can work out a fix for that

This is an awesome update! The new character customization options are really cool. I'm wondering, though, is it possible to make the cellulite slider go to even more... cellulite-y? It's a bit mild at the maximum right now, which is a level I'm more than fine with, but sometimes I get the degenerate urge for full-on cottage cheese, lol.

Thanks! Yeah it's very time consuming. I lost a lot of subs this month because of how long it's been since the last build. I get it though. A lot of creators have new art up every week or few days so some people get impatient if there's no build for a while, especially if they aren't aware of the time that goes into this sort of thing. Either way, it's their money and their decision so I dont blame them, but I appreciate the patience and understanding from everyone who sticks around!

Love the little details you added like stretch marks and cellulite. Ever thought of having max size blobs impart more movement on nearby objects to convey more weight?

Unfortunately, the physics simulator starts to get really wonky and may crash if I make the blobs much bigger than their current max size. That's why there is a limit.

No worries! But yes, that's pretty much exactly the plan as far as weight gain. I'm working on a couple stages in between skinny and blob that you basically level up into as you eat. I plan to make more fat shapes in the long run too, but I wanna get the tech done for these in-between sizes first

I just played the demo build, and I am impressed with the storage level. Along with the new UI changes and new options that you added. I am very much enjoying in seeing all the dev builds and progress you had so far on this project. I am also curious to see what other machines you will add to the storage room. I'm curious on two things regarding the WG consistency. First is wondering if you are going to make WG stages for the fatty? Say you start off normal size then you eat and stuff your stomach. Once a certain stomach size hits, the character changes into a fat model. Do the same and you go to the next fat stage. Etc, etc. My other question is are you planning on more fat body types? the three you have so far are really good and funny. I just wonder if you had a few more in mind. Sorry if I said a lot. I much rather give as much feedback and thoughts when possible on these kinds of things.

I hadn't considered save states like that, but it's a good idea to have that option. I'll look into it.

Yep, that will def be returning soon. I started looking into it, but I didn't wanna delay this update any longer. Also super glad to hear the performance improved with this build. I wasn't entirely sure if these fixes would work.

fantastic update! the weight consistency is a huge deal. now that that part is done, are you planning on eventually making a save state, so her weight will stay after you shut down the game? or is that too far out of scope of the game?

also a question: when you do add the WG/growth element back to the build will you be able to add the auto feeding tool (similar to the one in the Valentines day build).

wahhh this build is amazing and so smooth, you did an amazing job optimizing it! I always thought that my computer was just ill equipped to run the previous build (im glad thats not the case, and it was a bug). great job on the project thus far! Really love the new UI and the character customization cant wait to see more improvements.
