v0.1.4 Changelog & Details
Added 2021-03-21 17:55:20 +0000 UTCHey! The previous post will be accessible only to the Explorer and the Scientist Tiers, so I thought I might release a public post as well about the current state of the last version.
Basically, because I know it's been a long time, I've prepared the last update for release in its current state. It's not yet fully polished, but that's why this can be an opportunity for the players and.. me.
The opportunity is that I can both show everyone what the game currently looks like (and to show that I've not been slacking off 😅), and I can also use this as a way to collect bugs and make sure that by the time the Public Release will be out, not only will that build be polished, but also the $1 and the $5+ ones.
Very many things in this update wouldn't have been possible without Cyrus' help, and since this post may be referenced into the future, I'll give him a more honorary mention here as well.
Release Details for the next builds:
- $1 / Supporter Tier Release on 28th March. No more censorship on the drawings, just a little bit compressed versions of them, leaving the original resolution artwork for the $5+ builds.
- Public Build Release around ~4-5th March. No more censorship. Slightly more compressed than the $1 / Supporter Tier, but it won't be anything that hides any details, just less details and less disk usage, because the game is getting pretty big at 200mb.
Summary Changelog:
- Two New Quests. The Exotic Hunt Quest and The Festival Quest. To access them, you need to finish Viradium T, then Vaccination Time, then visit the Local Affairs in the Evening (I hope I'm not wrong here). One of them leads to the other, not in a linear way, but in a "plot-opening way"
- Both Depth and Width in the new content. Choices can lead to completely different outcomes, with the first bad ending of the game making its first appearance.
- Word Count raised from v0.1.3's 250k words to v0.1.4's 414k words.
- Over Ten New Drawings, found in the new quests.
- Revamped UI. The UI is completely changed, to make gameplay more smooth.
- Smartwatch UI. Comes with many new menus. They're not quite finished yet, with some requiring data and others requiring some styling, but they're going to be finished by the time the public release time comes.
- Revamped Avatar UI & Avatar System & Avatar Wardrobe. You can now equip clothes separately.
- Ripped Clothes. Many clothes now have ripped versions, basically your clothes can get damaged in battle and that will reflect on your avatar as well. This will get another update during the polishing time or the next actual update, making the system slightly more complex.
- Three New Backgrounds.
- Three New Expressions: Surprised, Frown, Puzzled. They're not used very much yet, but I'm going to look for circumstances that use them a lot.
Now, for transparency, here's what I'm aware of that's currently broken:
- Media Rules for less popular resolutions may not be working properly. I tried to aim for as many screens as I could, so if something looks amiss, try the 100% zoom level. If that doesn't work, play a bit with the zoom and/or report to me on the Discord.
- A few hairstyles may clip through the new hats.
- Blackjack is broken.
- Blackmailer NSFW scenes are broken.
- Some of the new content may display some errors. Please report them if you can, I've worked hard to fix everything I could see, but some always slip through.
I've mentioned this on the locked post, but I'll mention it here as well. So, as I've specified, this update changed a lot of things in the backend, so many things may not work as they should. I'm making a list of everything that's broken over the next couple of days, then I'll get started right away on hammering down the bugs and making all builds of this version as polished as they can get by the Public Release is here.
Thank you for your attention and I wish you a great week.
