Last Development Update for v0.1.4 - 15th March 2021
Added 2021-03-15 18:21:25 +0000 UTC
Hey! It's been a while, and I wanted to do something more than just tell, I wanted to show some progress.
I'm using this last week to finish up pretty much everything that's still left and I'll announce the release dates for this version:
- $5+ Patrons. 21st March 2021 (very important to add the year)
- $1 Patrons. 29th March 2021
- Public. 5th April 2021
I've posted a Sneak Peek of v0.1.4's sketches here (Patrons only because of the potentially NSFW content) to make the last wait a little bit easier to endure (although that might not be the best use of the word).
Everything that's been going on:
- All drawings are finished. β
- Old & New Content has been updated to the last UI systems. β
(the old method of changing clothes is gone)
- Writing is 95% finished. β What's left is a few combat encounters and more details to the last sequence of the festival quest. Won't be more than a day, all in all.
- The Coding Systems are largely done (with Cyrus' help). A few minor details are left, such as calculating the tease damage in combat, which used to be easier because there was only one outfit in the past that could be equipped at one time, now there are many.
- Tearing in Combat is done (see attached GIF). β
(I couldn't show more in the gif, because I'm not allowed to have nudity in a public post)
What's left for this week:
- Integration of the new quests into the game (to make them playable). The Exotic Hunt is already integrated, except for its combat encounters because those are written directly in the game's code.
- Testing the old content and the new content to prevent game breaking bugs and UI mismatches.
- Adding flavor content, such as the ability to fabricate a snack bar in the morning in the Entertainment Room and either consume it there, either add it to the inventory. Same with coffee.
- Polish. I could've already released this version, but I have an obsession with cleaning up the π crumbs that are left over and not noticed at first glance when integrating new coding systems, new content, etc.
In conclusion, perfectionism is almost always a time sink. My remaining focus is on making the game and the new content functional by the weekend. Any further improvements to the new systems can wait until after the first functional release in the weekend, or until the next version starts getting developed.
