Really good pod guys and particularly around the giving lengthy contracts to players who are 30+. This one was one of the things Wenger was good at by rewarding players once they reached 30 with one year contracts, which meant they had to play for the extension the following season. I hope i’m wrong but i fear that Auba is not going to improve this season or Willian either. Why are we not learning from these mistakes?

Why Tierney LCB and not wing back? That's taking one of our best players and giving him more defensive responsibility and taking him out the areas where he is most dangerous. At lcb you're lucky if he gets forward 2 or 3 times a game.

Good pod guys, I got to be honest I watched the game and I was bored. There is hardly am Arsenal match that I have on TV yet do something else meanwhile. The same bloody patterns and same inane crossing to no one in particular. I dont think Arteta has a clue what he is upto. He has to get away from imitating Pep if tahts what he is doing which iam not even sure. He needs to understand why he was hired. He needs to be inventive and brave bit I don't think he understands. I see another long season with many heart breaks. Elliot what a rant mate, but iam 100% behind you mate. Don't let anyone fool you that all is well. We as fans spending money on this club have atleast the right to rant.

Great pod guys! To Clive’s point regarding us focusing on being more of a transition team as opposed to a possession team, I think Arteta is more of the Pep school in regards to systemic pressing vs the Liverpool model which tends to focus on more aggressive pressing and broken play. With the injury problems that Liverpool have had over the past season, I think it could be argued that a focus on such a system could be better in the short-term but with long-term consequences. Would love to get your thoughts on this

Q to Panel: I don't know stats but I always felt Auba was not a 1 chance 1 goal striker. He thrives on lot of chances (I remember from his best goal scoring seasons for us) . So is it a surprise that Auba looks done with the amount of chances we create
