Page 6 Inks and Flats
Added 2024-08-12 19:18:23 +0000 UTCWorked ALL frigging day on this yesterday, till about 3 am. So please excuse the typos; my brain is melted this morning.
HERE WE GO. Inks and flats for page 6 are finally done. My sadistic masochistic page is so close to being done =D
To speed things up, I'll be doing 1 simple shade for the characters and background, then I'll push it all forward into Photoshop. Once I put some treatments on it all, a great deal of the visual noise will fall away (I hope!). The inside of the monorail will be darker, and the exterior shot will have a lot of white and softness applied.

Edit - looking at it now, I might change up Judy's eye line, and maybe the otter's nose a smidge!

I think that raccoon shows up some more in the next page! Right now he's just a bit of boarder decoration. So glad you like this =D

I love the little ads and signs, adding some nonintrusive world building in little bites, shout outs to fashion forward Basil. Shout outs to that raccoon barely on screen! Representing the racc snack pack, you love to see it. No rushing good stuff like this. It takes a while, but it’s worth it. Rest up. “Did I bite off more than I could chew? Yes. Yes I did.” I understood that reference.

New race, means new levels of racism! Snakes arriving, and tensions are up - same sort of vibes to current-day issues and awful rhetoric aimed at immigrants in the USA. Nick and Judy go on the hunt for one 'bad actor' who turns out to be a super swell guy. And gosh lessons learned once again, that racism in Zootopia helps no one.

2024-08-12 22:38:40 +0000 UTCOh, if you're ever looking for an additional character, I'd love seeing an African Wild dog. Absolutely a pain to colour, but by far my favourite canid. Love seeing your work and all the little details. A carabiner? It looks like each of the characters has personality and their own lives, despite only being in the background. 💜
