Nick Caged Page 5 Pencils
Added 2024-06-17 18:46:25 +0000 UTCI sat on sending this out to you yesterday - as I'd hoped to redraw a face, and separate out the characters (so I can overdraw and make nice single panels out of them later), but I simply lost myself to chores and playing Rimworld all weekend. The thing was, I had to play host Friday and Saturday to some now who was just exhausttttting. Machine-gun talking nothing but negatives, and gosh is that exhausting to be around. I needed to just... sit in a dark space for 24 hours and do nothing. You'll be happy to know my little rim-world-ant-farm filled to the brim with Zootopian characters and sexy mods is fairing very well ;D
So, I've attached the OG thumb/layout for the page with the original text. That I decided to move away from. I guess, coming back to it, I wasn't feeling very inspired by the 2nd and 3rd panel. I wanted more... engaged Judy. The text too, wasn't doing very much. It wasn't adding anything, and I thought I could maybe move the story along faster if I got them out the door on this page. The new version feels playful and intimate and ends with them leaving the house, so I can move things along a little faster.
Let me know what you think!? I still need to figure out how to dress the pair. I keep thinking Judy will have a skirt. But I also want to draw her in short-shorts... I figure Nick will sport a shirt... it could be fun to give him one from the movie?
Tomorrow I'll finish my pencil edits, and then move swiftly into the inks.

Can’t keep grinding all the time, it’ll hinder a lot more than art. Not sure about the clothes. The skirt is playful and going without underwear is a contrast of Nick having MORE covering his crotch and her having less but the short shorts are equally suitable for a flirty city girl. Chin up, you’re doing great. And of course, Judy butt looking strong.

2024-06-18 04:14:16 +0000 UTCThe page looks great, and I do get the decision to get the story moving and why you changed the dialogue, but all the dialogue was great, so you did a great job either way. As for what they should wear you could have Judy wear both short-shorts and a skirt since some women like to not just have panties under the skirt, but Judy just might want to do that since she is going to be dressing up for her alpha Owen and he would want easy access to her. I think nick having a good shirt the movie could be a nice touch. This was a great page, and the rough drafts look really really good. I hope you have a great rest of your day.

2024-06-17 23:34:57 +0000 UTCYeeeeeeah, I just counted my minutes; I wanted to be a good host. But gosh, it felt me feeling drained. Thank you so much Diego! This one really flowed for me. And I think it still FEELS like the old layouts, just... way better. In dialogue feeling more playful, to the art feels more intimate. I actually worry it's TOO much now, and to 'out of bounds', it's a big jumble, and that might be startling to run into... I'll try not to over think it ;D

And it's always fun seeing the extra bits and pieces, like that smug little Nick face top middle right. Sorry to hear about the bad guest. I can end up being a little of that myself (not here, but IRL), I "chew" on stuff a lot, but I do my best to keep a lid on it. Glad Rimworld was fun though. No horrifying war-crime mods though? Is it really Rimworld?
