Nick Caged - Page 1 & Single Panels

Wooooo weeee. What a crazy page and week to kick things off with!

Again I really appreciate all the patience with me catching the flu and needing a bit of recovery time on this. This past week too was a bit of a doozy as all NSFW Patreons had to contend with whether or not we can continue on Patreon or not, the TLDR of it: is they (and Gumroad and other companies) have been changing and editing their community guidelines daily, after, some outside puritan pressure from credit card companies or the Texas anti-porn laws... or something like that - who knows - stressful is what it really is. Does my loving cucking anthro-donger comic cross the guidelines? Maybe? No? Yes? I've emailed with a friendly tone, asking for clarity, and heard nothing back. So I'll keep on keeping on. 

I'll act slowly and not go into a panic. I love Patreon and the community we have here and don't want to split apart from it if I can help it, Subscribestar isn't very appealing to me yet.

That's a very long way of saying that if I disappear; you should make sure to follow me on my other accounts!

 I HAVE done a .csv file backup of all of you guys too - so if I do get booted off the platform - I'll try to email you all to let you know what I'll do next =) Let's take it a day at a time.

RIGHT let's talk about the page. 

I had this image as my aim for the look. Did I accomplish it? Maybe not. I got very.... frustrated with the pencil lines, and in hindsight maybe a lineless, or very thin pencil line would have served better. I felt like my linework just... wasn't clean and professional enough. But I also get that it might be in my head. I think there's a lot of 'first page in the chapter' pressure too, where it feels like I'm setting the tone and example and if the 1st page isn't PERFECT the whole chapter will be simply not perfect. In reality, I just need to embrace... the 'one page at a time' and 'trying-my-best attitude'. Next page I might try to tweak my pencil a bit further, and try my best not to sweat it too much. A little thinner and denser... who knows? Let's figure it out when we get there.

At the very least the character work should stay pretty consistent - This Nick face and hands I added in as I penciled, took some iteration but it didn't feel too time-consuming - and I really like how it serves the page in the end. I wanted that sort of 'anxious excitement' vibe to pop through past the words, and giving us his face really sells it I think. 

Despite my grumblings too, I am proud of myself for aiming high and trying my hand at such a wild opening shot!

Next week - PAge 2222222 and FINALLY a dong/cage REVEAL. We've earned it.
