Ties That Bind - Page 15 Finished!

What a doozy of a page! For some reason, this one was a really slow crawl for me!? I suppose the last page felt so easy, I just thought this one would too =D No such luck!

So much to love on this page. Owen's victory lap. His moment to relish in that feeling that he's won. Truly the alpha to this pup.

Owen's monologue hit's it's height, and Nick gets an ultimatum! No joke, when I wrote this script all that time ago? This (and the next few pages) was what I was looking forward to the most. I hope you've been enjoying it as much as me.

Originally I'd planned for the shots to be tighter-in and more intimate, but as I was penciling I started to pull the camera back further and further. Owen arching his back and really pressing and presenting himself just got hotter and hotter to me, so I just kept zooming further and further back. Then keeping the camera on his face - really helped solidify the speech. It's playful, it's commanding, it's hella gay and I love it.

I've got to go get my next covid booster, THEN it's Thanks Giving next week; so I'm expecting a turbulent week ahead. The next page feels simpler - so might not take too long? Hopefully, it all balances out? Let's see how it goes. 

I'll start prepping the Single-Panel-images today and tomorrow. That 1st panel has a really nice little background that doesn't get to be shown with the bubbles - it'll be cool to show it off by itself. 

Bonus note; the final panel's background is a reused and manipulated one from page 8! When I first started the chapter I thought I'd be able to reuse a whole lot of the backgrounds, but it's been a pretty limited thing for me so far.
