Happy New Years

A 'rookie' photographer captured these images on her phone and sent them to me tonight from a workshop i did towards the beginning of this past year. She said lots of things like "idk if youd want to see this" and "it was great practice", but i think she did just fine. I hate how insecure people can be about their work, but I get it. Im highly critical of myself and it causes me to quit doing things I enjoy and am possibly good at (cough cough, guitar).

Ive never believed in New Years resolutions, but i think im gonna make some real ones tonight. Im not gonna lose weight or stop drinking/smoking (alhough those are great resolutions too). Im going to begin practicing arabic again, play guitar more, and create more art that makes me feel in spite of how negatively i feel about the modeling scene right now. I want to feed my soul.

Ive been met with two deaths tonight, one a death that we all feel, and another a death only the people in my circle feel. Half of my family is sick with COVID or possibly the flu/ the crud. Im not ringing in the new year on the best of terms, but i feel okay about it.

Happy new years, you fucks. Stay alive. Please grow mentally, physically, spiritually, or anyway that speaks to you. Dont hold other people's progress in comparison to your own~
