After almost 9 months, I finally got an email back from an assistant teaching job I applied for in Japan. I'll get to interview soon, and if everything goes well I could be using my passport for the Spring of 2023 to teach English abroad for 6 months- a year! I also started taking a course to get my Registered Behavior Technician certification, but that one is a little more scary. I applied for the job and they responded optimistically to my resume, but I was informed during the interview that taking these courses to get certified doesn't guarantee employment if I can't demonstrate my skills adequately in front of the BCBA supervisor and THEN pass a test afterwards with a 90. I really hope that I do well, but all the intricacies of psychology are hard for me to learn. I have always wanted to work with children with special needs, so I *hope* that I can learn this subject well.
Other than these things that give me hope, I'm still having massive family drama and moderate financial issues. I'm stressed as hell, and I can't even afford to go to the doctor right now to get a refill on my birth control since I no longer have health insurance. All that being said, I got to spend a wonderful afternoon creating with Lauren and Lilith. It was a really chill shoot, and I had so much fun. I definitely needed it, I love shoots that don't feel like work.
