The steam indicating healing is a very subtle thing, glad you mentioned it because I would have never realized that. LOL

2022-08-19 12:14:53 +0000 UTCI absolutely love the writing in this show- and some things are more subtle, like I’m not sure if you noticed, but the patch that Levi gave the dumbass to comfort him- saying it was his dead friend’s was a lie, we saw him cut it off earlier (presumably it was Petra’s- at least the anime is highly hinting that- though it could have been someone else from his squad as well I guess)- so as cold as he comes off and gets accused of being, he does have a heart. All of the families excited about someone coming home was for the now dead Levi squad members- Eld, Gunther, and Oluo. And I’m not big on fight scenes usually, but I assume it felt more drawn out because of the need for both of them to stop and heal injuries- the female Titan was pretty messed up from the Levi squad even though she ultimately killed them- so I presume she was ducking/dodging/backing away until she was healed enough to really attack (the steam coming off of the titans denotes healing)- and Eren kept missing and had to keep waiting for his hands to regenerate lmao
