i think after almost 2 years of struggling and failing to work on or complete any major animated project, it's time for me to call it quits on animation as my main line of work, at least for now.. the more time goes on, the more i've struggled with it and the harder its become to make anything, especially anything i'm happy with. i'll go into it more later with a better explanation as to what and why, probably in some public form, but that's how i'm feeling at the moment.. i apologize for that, i wish it wasn't the case but it's just how things have turned out.
that said, i'll still be very busy with other things to make and show! right now i'm testing out a return to Destination: The Planet, a little game i made and released a little demo for last year. this time, i wanted to try out a new character style and inject a little story with some more character into it! it'll basically be a complete re-vamp of the first demo i released, being a re-make of the first area with all sorts of new stuff to dig into with all sorts of new mechanics and features all-around! thankfully i have the backbone of the original demo to work off of so it's not like i'm starting completely from scratch or anything, stuff like the movement system is likely to stay largely the same.
i feel more optimistic with my video game work as opposed to my usual animation work, i feel its something i've still been able to consistently get a lot done with even during lower periods! it helps that it keeps my entire brain busy while im doing work on it so there's no space for my mind to wander off into unpleasant-ness as is often the case for animation.
