been a slow week, so why not some concept art for older animations?

this week i hadn't been able to get much of anything done between a relapse and hyperfixation taking hold, so i figured hey, it might be cool to show off some old concept art / thumbnailing for old animations that i don't think i've ever shown before! these sketches in specific are mostly for "stupid horse", which is soon to turn 4 years old now with me starting it in october 2020 O_O you can see just how rough my sketches always were LOL, that's something i recommend to anyone when it comes to planning anything since it gives you a lot of wiggle room to experiment and not be so afraid to scrap whatever you think doesn't work!

at some point i'd like to give a more thorough tour of some of my old art notebooks and show all the planning that went behind each animation, because when i moved out i still managed to bring with me every single art notebook i had since 2014 or so! the stuff i'd be showing would pretty much only be from 2019 and onwards, having to do with the animations in specific!
