experimenting with something! a potential return to "nothing for nothing"!

something i'm quickly realizing as i try to make progress on that music video i was working on is that i'm just not sure if i want to make music videos like that anymore, at least for the time being.. it just doesn't feel like "my thing" anymore, and i have rough associations when it comes to them and the process of making them. but something i've been very passionate about through all this time still had been "nothing for nothing", so i'm taking a crack at that third revision of episode 1!

there's not much to show right now since its just 2 minutes of audio-less animatic, but what i hope to complete within the month is an animatic of the full episode with rough dialogue readings and potential temp sound effects to make something watchable that can then be tweaked a bit until it's ready for full animation! i also have a few limited animation tricks up my sleeve i want to try out when it's time for animation to help mitigate the sheer amount of time that would be needed to fully animate a ~10 minute episode, but that'll be brought up again when it's time!

so far i'm much happier with how this revision has been turning out compared to the last two, it also being the most major revision with the largest differences between it and the original storyboards for episode 1, but all the major story beats are staying the same! i'm excited to see how this all turns out! it helps to keep my mind on the end product instead of how it all looks at the immediate moment, given this is a stage where everything's going to look very rough anyways!
