plans going forward as things settle down!

what you see above is a bunch of model sheet stuff for "nothing for nothing" i prepared around this time last year! they're a bit outdated since it was before a slight style overhaul, mostly maddie's because she in specific became a lot more angular, but i figured it'd be interesting to share regardless! these were for myself but mostly also for the other two people i'd be working with to bring "nothing for nothing" to life when the time comes to work on it as a team for episode 2-4!

so: here's the concrete plan! getting back to animation, i'd like to spend the next month or two making + finishing the short little animation i showed off last week, and after that i want to get right back to "nothing for nothing"! specifically, i want to make a third revision of the storyboards to really tighten things up. if you ask me, the revision i shared before is kind of lame, not meant in a self-deprecating way, but rather there's always going to be rougher steps before you can make the final Good thing!

namely, the character of the characters are pretty flat with mostly uninteresting dialogue and interactions, maddie and emmy are too "cool" and experienced when they're meant to be more of a scrappy team of weirdos, and i think i could come up with something more interesting for the fighting as well as the animation for the fighting... but that's what revisions are for! i'm confident the third revision will be the final revision of episode 1! episode 2 and 3 have their concept and such roughed out already too (short of having animatics), though they'll require much less revision when time comes to work on them since episode 1 serves to lay a lot of the groundwork the rest of the episodes will be based on.

there's also Another Another little video game side-project i'm working on for fun, being a re-vamp of that little VR game i showed off last year (this time with native Quest support!), but i'll only talk about that when i have something more substantial to show / i'm certain i'll be committing to it for some period of time!
