Neeko (Process)
Added 2021-01-01 04:51:28 +0000 UTCaaand the process pics of my Neeko redraw! Man that water took a bit of practice but I am super stoked with how this whole piece turned out!
With this one I tried REALLY hard on her torso anatomy and I think that practice I did beforehand really paid off! It's not perfect or where I wish it was, but this stuff takes time! Seeing the progress from last year to THIS has made me feel really excited for next year!
At the beginning of this I didn't feel super confident in it or the idea, but I think the bath scene is really cute and I really went out of my comfort zone with this water stuff, I know I keep talking about it but this is my first time really doing pretty water like this :D
I think her hair turned out pretty well too! I remember with the previous drawing thinking "wow this is my best hair!" well what do you think of this 2019 Kate?!
I think for the future I might want to establish a better skin palette or have some better references for the beginning. One other core thing is perhaps trying to do more black & white > colour drawings and get better at that? Ooh and another thing I want to try next year is photobashing! That's another thing I really want to give a go!
Maybe next on the practice-to-do-list is nipples specifically, boob physics?, and, face practice!
I think her hair is pretty cute and looks good and I like the face! (This might be the first piece in awhile where I just like all of it together) BUT I definitely wanna keep practicing.
