It indeed was the debut movie for both Sonam and Ranbir after they had assisted the director on another film set before. The movie in my pov isn't anything worthwhile but the music and cinematography hit the right chords. The visuals are always lit because it's Sanjay Leela Bhansali's specialty for example Devdas, Bajirao Mastani, Padmavat and Gangubai.
