Down in the Markets beneath the Spire

Mark feels nothing but excitement as he walks around the Market of Chaos. Or at least, the outer part of it.

The market located at the Successor of Chaos’ Spire has grown into one of the greatest markets on the planet, along with the most peaceful place as well thanks to its neutrality. So almost everyone wants to go to it for one reason or another.

And after a lot of planning, travel, and savings, Mark is finally here. Ready to enjoy the market for all its worth, even if it’s just the public parts of it.

From what Mark has heard, the private areas of the market that are restricted to authorized individuals only are even more desired than the public areas. They’re places filled with treasure from all around the universe brought here by various different factions including but not limited to the Tower of Chaos and Hell.

They’ve even added the dragons to their trading sphere, which very few people ever manage to do.

It’s why everyone on Val is saying that the Market of Chaos has already become the trading center of the planet. And if there was a reason other than peoples’ fear of Ashley to avoid getting into conflict with her, this would be it.

But after an hour of browsing, something happens that shocks not only Mark, but everyone currently walking through the market.

A loud whooshing sound echoes from the peak of the Spire, bringing his and everyone else’s gaze towards the Spire’s peak. Only for him to find what looks like a massive land dragon mixed with a dinosaur similar in appearance to the King of Destruction that Ashley faced on her broadcast.

The thing is barely managing to stay on the Spire’s peak thanks to its enormous size, with all of its feet dangling off of the Spire. And it has deep crimson scales with glowing crimson light leaking from beneath them.

Just like the King of Destruction.

There are even glowing crimson cracks in the air around her. As if the very air was being destroyed by her presence.

After getting over his shock, Mark identifies the creature.

And the result is just as shocking.

♢ Level 375 Ashley Sinclair Chaos – 14,014 Potential Skills – O ♢

Mark stares blankly for a few seconds at the enormous number of Potential Skills before Ashley starts to shrink until she’s no longer visible again. But just a few moments later, Mark sees snow beginning to fall all around them as frost builds up at the top of the Spire.

And he’s not the only one wondering just what the hell the Successor of Chaos is up to right now.

Ashley

Well that didn’t turn out quite as I was expecting it.

The Queen of Destruction form for the skill was enormous. Larger than the Spire has surface for me to stand at its peak.

So I was just kinda partially dangling off of the Spire on all sides. Which was awkward as hell considering the people below.

Other than that, while in the form, I looked exactly like the King of Destruction. Albeit with a slightly more feminine look.

And after transforming into my Tigress of Eternal Snow form, I find it being the same. I look like a tigress instead of a tiger.

It’s as if I’m just turning into female forms of the Unique Monsters I killed to get these Unique Skill Trees.

Although the blizzard kicking up around me right now is an interesting touch. And it’s something I saw around the Tiger of Eternal Snow’s clone while we were battling too.

I wonder if there’s a way to stop that?

Regardless though, I return to my regular form. Then I transform into the Chaos form to see if it’s changed. And the only change I find is that the black, crimson, and purple raven I turn into is a lot bigger now than before.

Nothing else is different.

At all.

So I turn back again before finally focusing on the last form. The one that’s a mixture of all my Skill Trees.

This form is probably going to be even weirder than it was the last time I used it. Which was when I first tested it out for the most part, since I haven’t really needed to use it.

The only time I’ve used the Form of Chaos skill was against the Tiger of Eternal Snow.

Nothing else has been strong enough to make me use it.

I let out a sigh at that thought.

It’s rather disappointing.

I hope I get to the higher Classes soon so that I can have more challenging battles.

With that thought, I go ahead and activate the skill again. This time transforming into my unique form.

And what I turn into is rather… unexpected.

I actually mostly retain my humanoid shape. What changes the most is that I gain black and crimson scales on my back, my shoulders, knees, and the back of my neck. Meanwhile I get snow-white fur everywhere else while my hair itself gets snow white patches too. Turning from black, crimson, and purple to half black, crimson, and purple and half snow-white.

My wings don’t change at all, though. But everything else does.

Along with my wings, I also get various other appendages stretching from my back that hide underneath said wings. Like tentacles, extra arms of various species, shadow blades, and too many others to list.

But they’re all hidden by a wave of chaos energy released from my wings and only occasionally peek out from it.

And my eyes?

One eye is snow white in color with a glowing pale blue light shining from it and my usual pupils, while my other eye is a glowing crimson amidst pitch black with the usual pupil.

Last but not least, I have crimson fangs and pale white claws. With my fangs releasing destruction mana while my claws release eternal snow ice energy.

Overall, my new form seems to be a lot more stable than my last abomination of a form was. From when I was Class D.

I wonder if this form will get more and more stable as I ascend to higher Classes?

That would be interesting.

The form is already a lot easier to move around in and use now than it was back when I was Class D.

And I have to say, it’s rather intimidating to look at in this full body mirror.

I actually like it.

Oh, and there are some side effects to the area around me that I didn’t think much about at first.

Just like in my Queen of Destruction form, glowing cracks are appearing around me as I naturally emit destruction mana. Meanwhile snow is falling all over the place and frost is building up on the ground as I also emit eternal snow ice energy.

Hmm. I should probably learn to control that better.

Otherwise I’m bound to end up hurting an ally or something. Just from being near them.

My thoughts are interrupted when I hear the sound of what I think is a photo being taken. Drawing my attention to the side, where I find Chaos just casually floating in the air with a camera taking pictures of me.

“What do you think you’re doing?” I ask with a brow raised.

“Preserving memories,” Chaos says without batting an eye or stopping what he’s doing.

I just continue to look at him with a raised brow, expecting him to stop. But instead of stopping, he moves in front of me and takes a picture of me with my brow raised.

“Hand that over,” I tell him with a hand extended, making him pout at me as if he weren’t one of if not the most powerful being in the universe. But he eventually hands it over, letting me go through and erase the pictures he took. Then I hand it back to him.

Only to find him pulling another one out with the same pictures I just erased already on its screen.

I roll my eyes with a sigh and return to my usual form while beginning to head inside.

At this point I’m not sure which to be more surprised about.

The fact that he’s using a professional camera from Val and not a high tech one from another planet, or the fact that I’m surprised by his doting actions.

I really shouldn’t be surprised anymore.

The sounds of pictures being taken continue from behind me as I walk back into the Spire. Ready to rest for a bit.

Then I can go fight in several Official System Events to test my new strength.
