The Spectator Stadium

“And the great Princess of Chaos is once again proving her power as she slaughters one competitor after another!” Vlxlicvnas exclaims with a fanatical grin as he flies in circles around the screen. Meanwhile the audience roars its applause all throughout the stadium.

Everyone feels both awe and terror at the sight of the Tigress of Eternal Snow flying through the various different arenas using her eternal snow to turn all of the arenas and their occupants into statues of ice. Draining their very vitality with every moment they’re frozen.

All the way until every last user in the stadium is dead except for Ashley, who continues to fly through the different arena segments freezing the monsters.

“Every time our beloved princess appears, we get to see a greater variety of powers from her!” Vlxlicvnas says while rubbing his hands together. “First it was the great power of chaos, then the power of destruction, and now the power of ice!”

The audience doesn’t grow any quieter as Ashley continues freezing the monsters despite being the only user alive in the arenas. All the way till the other users revive again.

But unlike what some might suspect, Ashley doesn’t hunt them down again.

Vlxlicvnas isn’t surprised by this, though.

“She’s leaving the other competitors alone because they aren’t a threat to her, and she’s already claimed their Skill Trees,” Vlxlicvnas explains for the audience. “So she has no reason to hunt them down further.”

Moments after he says that, one of the other competitors rushes straight at Ashley, only to be turned into a frozen statue mid-air before he can even get near her. Following which he falls down to the ground and cracks on the ground.

Dead.

“Doesn’t mean she won’t kill them if they attack,” Vlxlicvnas adds without missing a beat, making the audience burst out into laughter.

Idiots really should learn their place and stop bothering Her Highness.

Vlxlicvnas feels genuinely irritated at the sheer idiocy shown by the user. But the other users all ignore her actions, staying as far away from her as possible.

Which is exactly what they should do.

None of them have the right to approach Her Highness, the great Successor of Chaos, without express permission.

“You would be hard pressed to find a Class D user strong enough to fight Ashley,” Vlxlicvnas says as Ashley continues to steamroll the entire trial with ease. “Her Highness won’t likely find anyone who is a challenge to her until she reaches Class B at the least. Until then, everyone she faces are nothing more than walking Skill Trees for her to claim!”

Vlxlicvnas grins at that while continuing to watch Ashley. All the way through the rest of the trial.

And, of course, Ashley wins the Official System Event in first place, clearing her trial with ease.

Vlxlicvnas puts his hands together in prayer as Ashley leaves the Official System Event.

Ashley

I let out a yawn after winning the Official System Event and clearing the trial. At which point I appear on top of my main Spire in the woods again. With a notification in my vision.

All requirements for Class Ascension have been completed.

Class Ascension to Class C will now commence.

Prepare for evolution.

And just like with my last evolution, I feel pain flooding my entire body. With Chaos sending me images of himself cheering me on again. In his female form this time for some reason. Following which the changes begin.

First off, my wings gain even more glowing crimson lines spreading across them. Especially between the feathers.

I also feel a strange transformation coming on. One that makes the pain go from burning hot to freezing cold in an instant.

Then all of the previous changes in my body suddenly go away. All of the glowing crimson lines on my wings suddenly vanish and turn into pale blue glowing lines instead. And I somehow just instinctively know that my eyes have changed from crimson to pale blue. Albeit with my usual deep crimson, almost black slit pupils from Gaze of Destruction still there.

And after that finishes, everything changes back to before it turned pale blue. With the lines becoming crimson again along with my eyes.

Following which I feel pain spreading throughout the inside of my body as my bones twist, break, bend, and reform again, and Chaos’ blood spreads further into my body. All the way throughout my torso.

Leaving just my limbs and head without Chaos’ mutation-causing blood in it.

So now anything that gets blood from my torso on it will be mutated. Just like the blood from my wings.

Then all of it just stops. The pain vanishes, and everything settles into place.

Meanwhile another notification appears in my vision.

Class C Ascension complete.

The user now has hints of the following evolved species:

Unknown.

Queen of Destruction.

Successor of Chaos.

Tigress of Eternal Snow.

Additionally, the user’s level cap has risen, and their System Access expanded.

That unknown one is still there. And Tigress of Eternal Snow was added to the ‘hints of evolved species’ list too.

I’m guessing there’s been some sort of change in my Successor Skills again?

“Your guess would be correct,” Chaos says, his voice sounding female before changing to sounding male again with his next sentence. “There should be a new skill and an update to a previous one.”

Interesting.

I go ahead and pull up all of my Successor Skills.

{Chaotic Surge – Allows the user to send chaos energy through their body in a rampant surge, increasing their physical capabilities and granting random effects to all of their attacks. Both magical and physical.}

{Chaotic Source – All True Damage that would harm the user will be reflected at a random being the user views as an enemy. However, this skill only works against thirty instances of damage a day and must be recharged either by waiting until the next day or through using one unit of Chaos Energy to refill ten charges.}

{Chaos Infusion – Allows the user to infuse and compress Chaos Energy.}

{Form of Chaos – Allows the user to shapeshift into four different forms. A form unique to the user, a form inherited by Chaos, a form unique to the Queen of Destruction, and a form unique to the Tigress of Eternal Snow.}

{Chaos – Allows the user to spend Chaos Energy in order to create a random skill and add it to their Chaos Skill Tree.}

{Monster Creation – Allows the user to compress Chaos Energy in order to create monsters.}

Huh.

Form of Chaos changed to give me two new forms, each one being specific to my Unique Skill Trees, and I also got the new skill Monster Creation. Which seems pretty… unusual.

“I use it all the time,” Chaos says, sounding like he’s shrugging as he does so. “Or I used to. Nowadays my aura alone is enough to create monsters. But if I want to make any especially powerful monsters, this skill is what I use.”

Interesting.

I go ahead and try out the new skill. Only to find that it requires a lot of chaos energy to use.

But I have enough, and I manage to make a little slime monster with it.

The slime also seems to be friendly towards me. Which is good.

“All monsters made by you will follow your every command,” Chaos explains, making me nod my head in satisfaction.

That’s good. It wouldn’t be very useful if they ignored me or attacked me.

It’s too bad the skill takes so much energy, though.

Putting that aside for now, I turn my attention to the new changes to Form of Chaos.

It’s time to test out my new forms.

A grin stretches across my face at the thought, meanwhile I hear Leo nearby giving an excited meow when he sees me looking excited.

So without further ado, I activate the skill and transform into my Queen of Destruction form.
